' There was some controversy regarding them making an originally paid-for DLC memorializing a deceased developer that had some portions donated to his family.

white lions ; shock troops ; great ranked up with their army buffs ; alastar gets a sun dragon mount ; i pair the lions with dragon knights and a life mage
1. More for him than his white lions. The only unique army buffs are from his starting traits. He has a few unique character skills, but isn't particularly mindblowing.
2. It's usually good to have a few layers of attack. Fighting at a choke point makes extra melee units less useful. Having a phoenix and a couple cavalry wouldn't hurt, and you can still have the majority of your army be white lions.
