If you are running Windows 10 you could try uninstalling a windows update called "Windows update kb4041676". It has worked for some, I haven't tried it personally but the game started not working for me around the same time people started passing around that fix so you might have the same problem (though I can't even hear the sounds, game just crashes on the loading screen). Personally I'm probably going to wait for a fix but you could also try uninstalling updates made after or on the 10th day of this month, that's about when the game started not working for me.

I haven't done research on it, but I imagine if it was a security update your PC might be vulnerable to exploits patched out in that update. Then again, people have been pretty casual about it, so it's maybe not such a big deal if you exercise caution in your computer use. Still, the risk is yours to take if you so choose!

The stuck on the legals splash screen, but the game itself continuing to run like nothing is wrong is almost always caused by your monitor operating at above 144hz refresh rate.

For whatever reason, the game won't work on anything over 144hz. Had the exact same problem, you need to make sure that your monitor itself is actually operating at 144hz or less.

I have a ROG Swift monitor that is designed to safely overclock to 180hz, with overclocking enabled but my OS set to operate at 144hz, the game still wouldn't work. It turned out the reason was even though I had set the OS display settings to 144HZ, the monitor was reporting in its OSD information menu its refresh rate was still 160hz.... so adjust any on-board monitor settings as well, not just your OS & GPU driver software suite to be 100% sure.

It's funny how people that get these kinds of glitches always have super PCs.

Well it's first time i got it.. and funny yeah it was always funny when others had it on cod ww2 . Runs smooth . But i want to play this haha.

Super PC ? lol kidding, 6700k is not a high end CPU anymore , it's old now. 1080ti on the other hand is a beast. But i think its windows 10s problem . Not the pc.
The game works perfect on my old PC.

If it makes you feel better once I couldn't play Fallout 3 for weeks, because suddenly every NPC's head was spinning on their shoulders like they were possessed and the outside open world had the detail of a preschooler's painting. The culprit? The game had for some reason changed some minute graphical setting, like the draw distance from long to super short or the detail of lighting in the world. No idea why that made people's heads spin, but going back to my original settings fixed the problem :steamhappy:

It was pretty much like in this video, except the head was constantly spinning at an even rate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHz-Re3U30I
