So I very explicitly don't bother with their agent skills.
Assault units. Always nice to shred down a stack with a few of these before it even gets to you.
Being a huge Teclis fan and the feeling Tyrion is too cheesy, My main opponents thus far have been VC and Skaven, I use cleanse corruption as an auto buy on every Mage hero.
I've never used Damage Walls before though, does it make actual holes that troops can use to breach siege battles ( on the battle map rounds ) or just damage the walls/towers to make them easier to breach ?
I have some really bad luck with block army, failing some 85% chances sometimes so I'm not so fond of it. Steal technology is really cool
Personally, I like the assault units ability as well. Oh and breaking the walls of a settlement is great.
Otherwise I mostly put all their points into magic/melee skills.
I might occassionally assassinate something if I'm playing Elves and activate the Rite that gives +40% success chance to Mages/Sorceresses.
Heroes helping other factions are the best alliance builders.
As high elves, Secure Influence is a good way to level nobles, and is kind of needed on VH/Leg where a hero/lord with good stats costs 40/60 influence.
Increase Mobility, Training, and Casualty Replenishment are awesome. Especially Training; it seems like very little but it will add up if it's your main stack.
needless to say they are are a great asset on the battlefield. 80% phys ressist to start with so just equip them with armor that gives 10 more and an enchanted item for the last 10 to up it to 100%. thay are stupidly fast for a small unit and can get to enemy arty with no problems what so ever.
i really can't sell banshees more.
Is it possible to get 100 percent Ward Save or Physical Resistance - or the combination thereof at 100 percent? I recall someone say that damage resistance is capped (at 90 or so), and that you can never resist all damage.
