Settings on a GTX 1060 6GB

Could GTX 1060 users please share their graphic settings for total war: warhammer II.
It bothers me that I cant get a good balance between visuals and FPS.

Am I the only one getting such huge fps drops in bigger Battles. Especialy with explosions, smoke, blood, buffs?

You'll always get fps drops in huge battles. I doubt there's a commercially available PC in existence right now with which this doesn't happen. This has been the case for pretty much every TW game ever made .
In 40 vs 40 battles, especially with huge Skaven armies, my performance sometimes drops to 30-35 fps. Interestingly, the usage of my GPU drops to around 75% in these cases, which means this is more of a CPU than a GPU issue.
Otherwise I've got pretty stable 50-60 fps in battles.
Haven't had a lot of problems with the effects you mentioned. Some spells cause a slight slowdown for a second when I'm fully zoomed in on them.

Before the update Ive never dropped under 54FPS.. now im dropping under 19 like every 5sec...

What are your system specs?
If this is occuring in a regular interval of 5 seconds, it might be caused by another process running in the background.

You can just get the new Reshade, and grab a preset from their site. Turn everything to high except Unit Size, Textures and Unit Details to Ultra, and the game looks 10x better than everything cranked to Ultra, plus you get alot more FPS.

I'm currently using GemFX 1.0.9. Makes the game look even better. :D

The latest GemFX is from 2014 though, they are trying to get the money to push an update. But you can't go wrong with Reshade 3.0.8.

I only get huge drops during big siege battles, and even then it's only due to many units attempting to pathfind through the gate and over the walls.
