That's fair. Sometimes it's better to go into something with absolutely no expectations.
And thats oh so true now days after early access ruined everything. Seemed back in the day not as much crap came out though. I remember the first game I did it for was bioshock and that turned out great. I only do it for huge titles that i trust and we all know were gonna buy and have been buying for years like total war, fallout, GTA, bioshock, Dead Souls, Far cry, mountain blade, Witcher, Mass Effect, dragon age, not battlefield anymore lol. Once i decide I want a game i just naturally fall into that state now and its so much better when you get the game in your hands. I almost strangled my girlfriend because she heard the ending to fallout 4 on the radio and told me. Doesent happen to often anymore, thats kinda depressing =(. But its not as much for story its more for discovery, I dont wanna see any enemies, characters, weapons etc. Like I dont even know what races are in total war warhammer 2 and I wanna keep it that way.
I do prefer researching these days though, with the deluge of deadgames and early access nonsense on steam.
