Ignorance is not bliss in this case! Ignorance is baby rage
1. It challenges the creativity of the team and allows them to experiment and try more radical mechanics and better story telling.
2. Its success revitalized CA and the series, giving them massive amounts of funds after running low after Rome 2 and Attila. The company tripled in size at least and their bar has been raised.
3. It brings more outsiders into the series overall. Like it or not, fantasy tends to bring in more fans than history buffs.
4. Revitalized the strategy genre in general with its success.
5. Has given CA carte blanche to make a new engine and do any setting they want for the next historical game.
It will be worth the wait. It's just like waiting for an Elder Scrolls game. The best games take longer. I'd rather have them take their time than rush it like they did with Rome 2 and Empire. Also, TW NEEDS a new engine.
And yes, I love total war-hammer even though they messed up the title ^^

No they deserve to be called names for being so ridiculous. They don't have any good arguments, the next historical TW IS COMING. Like I said in another thread, historical has been the name of the game for almost 2 decades for this franchise, a slight deviation from this for 2 years and they come out of the woodwork to complain.
Warhammer was their most successful Total War title to date lmao

You copypasted this from that other guy who can't get over how CA doesn't cater to his/her every whim.
Also you do know people don't have to be 2D and enjoy all the Total War games, historical or fantasy, right.
And being spiteful towards CA for not catering to you either, by wishing for a competitor that will make better games than Total War is just so fukken sad. Really lowers the community in my view further.
You aproached it with a curious and mature mind, and came out a winner for it, as Warhammer IS excellent. And nothing like any other fantasy setting. I dont like Lord of the Rings myself, for example. But Warhammer rocks!
Many of those who dis it without even trying it havent yet realized that fantasy settings are NOT all the same. And for those who like dark, brutal, grim warfare with rich lore and characters should LOVE warhammer! Its like they are afraid they might be teased if they associate with fantasy LOL!
If only more historical fans were like you, sir.
Game companies over the last 3 decades have taken a shot at Warhammer, but its so vast and complex, that any shortcut wont work, and because of this, every attempt to bring Warhammer from the table to the PC (or console) has been mediocre at best.
TW pulled it off (counting whats coming all I can say is WOW!) when no one else could!
CA impressed the HELL out of me, creating a masterpiece, and introducing me to their talents, making ME an Historical TW fan!
So it works both ways.
And therefore, they will be selling more TW historical titles, as I CANT be the only Warhammer fan that has become a fan of thiers through these Warhammer release....
Warhammer is WIN WIN for everyone. It doesnt cost them anything, it doesnt take away from what is in development for them, and they are being prudish and immature for hating on a product they never even gave a chance to (most of the whiners havent tried it, as the word fantasy scared them away lol. They must have complexes about identifying with thier imaginative perceptions haha).
Your post, however.....Well, people like you are awesome! And I am glad when anyone see's what I see in Warhammer's universe. The more players, the better!
2) Your attitude and vehemence only proves the OPs point.
3) You can think of the Warhammer titles as a trilogy, and thereofre 1 title, if it makes you feel better.
