Seriously, Valve? Removing the ability to earn cards through the Discovery Queue? That was the best part of seasonal sales because it allowed people to get the badge for free. Now, how are people supposed to level up? By using the Point Shop badges that cost €400 worth of purchases on Steam just for 4000 XP? That's ridiculous and shameless.

Yes, you could use the market to buy normal sets and then get a trading card for the sale, but all those sets are also way too expensive. Or, you can spend €10 on a game or purchase something in-game and get one sale card. It's absurd. Removing one of the most accessible ways to earn cards just ruins the experience for a lot of us.

The more time passes, the worse it gets. This is probably one of the final steps to kill leveling altogether. The last one will just be not adding a new seasonal badge for the sales. I still remember when people could get 3 cards every day just by completing the Discovery Queue. Those were the good days.

You're killing the leveling system, which is a huge part of what many people love about Steam. I know plenty of users, like myself, who enjoy browsing Steam profiles more than playing the games themselves. Nobody is going to spend €400 in the Steam store just for a measly 4000 XP.

Either bring back the old way of earning cards during sales or make the seasonal badge available in the Point Shop for a reasonable price. Real Steam enthusiasts will agree with me on this.

Well, to be perfectly honest in my humble opinion without being sentimental, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in distinct perspective and without condemning anyone's view and by trying to make it objectified and by considering each and everyone's valid opinion I honestly believe that Steam is the all-time best platform for gaming.

A request to Santa: give Steam a new server, because it urgently needs it

Great, my likeliness to leveling up could be set back...I can't get a card through the discovery queue...

There are three dates I look forward to every year:

1) New Year's Eve
2) New Year's Day
3) The start of the Steam Winter Sale.
