neat. so if you select only the last 8 reviews for that game (drag a box on the graph to the right) -- then select Most Helpful (instead of summary). it'll show 8 reviews. now uncheck the new helpful system and it'll only show 1 review. what does that mean, it's doing the opposite?

granted the summary view is more important since it's default. but none of the last 8 reviews are hidden, which i believe is the example that's needed to see what's going on. cause the store only shows the past 10 reviews and once you drill down into it and see all reviews, i believe the helpfulness system isn't activated there

i believe the helpfulness system isn't hiding reviews, but it's re-organizing them to have those with the most words show at the top. granted, since it only shows the top 10 reviews on the store page, which seems to be the only spot this new system functions, that means it'll appear that it's hiding those reviews, yet if you click load all reviews you'll be able to find them.

it doesn't make sense though. if valve is really all about creating quality reviews, why hide the dislikes from the reviewer but use those dislikes in order to sort reviews. wouldn't they want reviewers to win the game of creating more valuable reviews?? i see that as a bigger blunder than this new system.

the worst part about this new system is just that, it's not documented well. it maybe a bug when selecting Most Helpful reviews instead of Summary, then unchecking the helpfulness system and it hiding almost all reviews..

It is hiding reviews, if it's a recent review and they decide it's unworthy it is not shown on the front page, the user has to click to not use the helpfullness filter, (why is it not Opt IN?) or they have to re-organise the reviews into a non default state. or click to view all reviews.

Am I annoyed personally because it seem to hide my reviews, yes.

New to Game Insoi, won't work because of a couple of reasons one of which i would need to replace a new driver in my windows dt. pc. Found a couple that should work, downloaded them, still not working. I have payed for the game ...what now?

Can you disable this setting globally? On every game review I open I have to disable this individually; I'd just like to see all the recent reviews and judge for myself like a grown up.

They don't want you to disable it, that's why on every game every time you have to disable it manually.

Why do I have to disable it evey time? It's extremely tedious. Can't you just let it be off?

It would be great if there were an easy, straightforward way to report developers/publishers for fraudulent reviews. The store page 'report' button currently doesn't have an option to report such reviews. Posting fraudulent reviews is a crime!
