I really hope that the disambiguation becomes "traditional roguelike" and "roguelike", so we can drop roguelite entirely. Most people use roguelike as an umbrella term anyways, and roguelite is such a similar sounding word that it makes conversations about them needlessly difficult.

Here's an idea:

Use turn and tiled genre terms for turn and tiled game genres!
Roguelikes are turn based games "like" "Rogue" it's literally in the genre name
Roguelites are "lite" on permadeath, as in the mystery dungeon and shiren games.

When you use roguelike and roguelite to refer to real time stuff you're making it harder and harder for people like me who need turn based games in order to keep gaming as a hobby.

Understand that the statement "videogames are for everyone! " is mutually exclusive with the statement "this genre doesnt need to be turn based!"

Genuine, real, tiled, turned roguelikes are great for me being half blind. I cannot find anything in this arcade slurry.

So, what's the problem searching the store for turn-based games only? I don't think your disability stops you from playing games such as XCOM, and if it did or you just prefer roguelikes to any other genre, then you just need to narrow your search by two tags instead of one.

Probably not, since it isn't a roguelike or roguelite. They keep trying to sneak this false genre of "soulslike" in...but it doesn't belong.

They probably changed it because FromSoft/Bandai pull out from the sale when they realized they will receive a lot a backlash for not having multiplayer fixed up before putting the game up on sale.

Simply out of curiosity, what is it that people don't like about dwarves? Do some people feel that fantasy dwarves are somehow offensive to real-world short people and people with dwarfism? 'Cause I don't see that (but I've only ever met one real-world dwarf one time when I was in middle school, I think to see if I would treat her as an adult despite her physical stature (I'm a High-Functioning Autist)).
