The German government not wanting children to access porn games is a good thing.

This would add more headaches. It would preclude kids from buying games that you as kid wanted to play too but didn't want to screw around with your parents for their permission.
Pester your government about it.

Gross revenue is not a useful metric, since that depends on what games were priced at. If the 3rd best game of the year was priced 3x as much as the 1st and 2nd, it doesn't give us a clear picture. I'd like to see how many actual "units" were sold of a game, excluding free games. Knowing that 300k people downloaded a $20 game tells me a lot more than that 100k people downloaded a $60 game.
