The options to do what you're asking already exist. Right-click on the game page and you can choose to have a screenshot as the background.
Also, the last game you played shows up right there under What's New (which can also be disabled), so it isn't too much of a hassle to just move the mouse there and click the game you last played.

so... who's gonna tell them about Parsec? i mean really, it's cool that you guys are doing this, but priorities, people! they did it first, and from my tests with a bunch of friends, it's way better. first, fix your client, then add features.

Please try to optimize this. If your upload speed isnt higher than 5 MBPS then you are lucky to be able to stream to even one friend on low settings, let alone more than one friend.

This feature would be amazing if you didn't need a $200 internet package to play with multiple friends.

i like this new feature but it would be 100 times better if we could share the controller in single player games too. like make the person that isnt playing at the moment spectate. then let us pass controller 1 back and forth. then this feature would freakin rule. this is what i thought it was at first.

i was wondering about this too. then i shared gang beasts to my friend. i let him choose local game then i pushed A on my controller to enter the fight. i noticed it wasnt letting him enter the fight but doing it the other way around where i join worked just fine
