Basic Controllers work. I Bought a XBOX 1 Controller [PowerA Fusion] Sad an dissapointing as there is no Drivers avalible [Only on windows update] But not full supported extra buttons Extra extra. There was Proof on the packing it works all functions on there packin'. BUY THE BASIC STYLE ONES ONLY That are packed inside XBOXS ONLY. Microsoft just like every other company build things an mess them up after sales.... Eeeeemmmmmm Very common of these core prats just wanting money for things that dont work. like half of the games relesaed from beta TOO SOON ...
I used a 360 controller for a long time untill the dongle adapter quit working one day. I bought an xbone controller as replacment thinking it would work wirelessly on the link, (nope) and now am stuck using it as a wired on pc and link since windows 10 update wont install on any of my 3 windows 7 pcs. It doesnt seam that there are many options for wireless on windows 7. Even if i was able to get windows 10, it seams there would still be issues. So i wait, this project is certainly delving into a productive area of innovation.
Unlike joysticks, gamepads are unusable for me. Nintendo's popularity and decision not to have decent joystick support ruined consoles for me. I'd really hate to see this happen to PC gaming.
I've been using SCP Toolkit for a couple of years now. It reports to Steam as an Xbox 360 controller even though I've never used one.
