Sorry if this is off-topic; idk if this is the place to talk about "best sellers" or the new steam update but;
I hate the visuals of the new update but like the features.
Why did we need a visual update? I felt it was quite fine the way it was. Now I feel spammed by stuff I dont care about.
new hot feature need to steam - my friend play INSTEAD me (in case i cant go through part of the game, for example) или еще сценарий у меня есть игра которую хочет приобрести друг, но нет ни пиратки ни желания качать в фемили шейринг и т.д быстро чекнул через ремоут и красота.
Wait you mean you're giving people the option to pay you LESS?

That's kind of nice of y'all. Cool.

MOST IMPORTANT THOUGH IS DOE SIT WORK WITH SPLIT/SECOND

Bravo Steam ! :steamhappy:
Please add the retired game Virtua Tennis 4 to Remote Play!!!

EDIT: Also add a tag to the library for Remote Play to create a Dynamic Collection with the games that support it.

OMG, now it has Remote play and a screenshot header. Maybe it was a coincidence, but in any case, thanks! :skyecute:

If they can improve upon parsecs stability so inputs aren't totally garbage then this will be one of the most amazing thing's ever dood <3
It's cool that this is a feature but some games aren't even compatible with this feature like Fighting games i.e BlazBlue Central Fiction as an example and when it does some how work there is lag on the the invitee's end of things and no audio can be heard on their end hell sometime the person hosting is having frame-dips here and there.
So is a controller pretty much mandatory? Because my friend and I tried this and just ended up controling the same guy instead of p1 and p2

Depends on the game (which was it?).
Check the game settings. Remember that if both of you are playing with keyboards, that usally means one player uses the WASD to move and the second one uses the arrow keys. This is how it is for the Lego games for example.
If a game requieres a gamepad for at least one player in local multiplayer, then it requieres it too for Remote Play.

That's what I was expecting, and although sharing one keyboard is awkward it's still doable. That said, it seems like games with co-op don't necessarily have options for p1 controls and p2 controls. Spelunky does but it was still a mess (probably by design, for the sake of comedy). I was hoping to co-op Salt & Sanctuary with a friend but it appears to require a controller for any additional input.

I guess what I'm saying is i really hope this feature evolves for 2 players to each have separate keyboard/mouse support, although I suppose that would just make a local co-op game into a proper multiplayer game that wouldn't require this tech to begin with, and that Valve and game devs will consider that more trouble than it's worth.......pity.
Remote Play is just tricking the game to think there are two players in the same room side by side, either sharing the keyboard or with gamepads. Unless the game supports multiple keyboards and mouse, I don't think there is an easy way to do it.

I suppose Valve could do some weird mix of virtual gamepad setup using the already existing gamepad options that Steam has and add second mouse support to make the game think you have a gamepad for the second player but is actually K&M. A mess xD

Your solution could be to do it yourself with vJoy or any other virtual gamepad program and set it up so the second player uses the arrow keys and the game thinks is gamepad input, while you play with the WASD combination using normal keyboard controls.
And I come back with another Remote Play petition, this time for the retired game Blur (ID: 42640) that has 4 player splitscreen multiplayer and has been out of the market for so much time :c
