Why is the menu and interface SO SLOW!!

okay so i know the trick of disable auto online login saves a second
but still
every screen is loading loading establishing connection
its such a pain, so sluggish so clunky!
it really kills the game
just like no matter how good the gameplay is - the scripting and commentary kills it!
i just dont get why in 2018 it can take the best part of 10 minutes (when your lucky) from loading up the game to actually having an online match!
oh - and i have a SSD and 16gb ram and a top notch card
so the problem defo is not with my comp

Change commentary to Japanese :P But I feel that it's somehow worse than previous games. There was once a year, when they had four commentators and they were talking more, but here... I'm playing on J-commentary since PES4 and I don't feel any improvement, lol.

I agree, having to wait between 5 and 10 seconds in several of the menu transitions becomes annoying after a while. To the point I try to minimise using the menus as much as I can.

Yep, they don't have any client-side updates so everything is done in the core menus and it can become very irritating. Even just wanting to play one exhibition match can see you going through establishing connection and updating teams nonsense. Just wish we could play offline exclusively.

Yep, this absolutely kills me also. So many updates and a loading gear next to a loading gear!
