"Into the Breach" purports to pit feeble mechanical contraptions against monstrous beasts threatening humanity. The audacity! It's like watching a scrap heap challenge attempt to replicate the grandeur of Cybertronian warfare. I must confess, the sheer audacity of these puny robots did elicit a chuckle from me. But make no mistake – amusement does not equate to admiration.


Now, let's delve into the crux of the matter, shall we? These so-called "mechs" are but mere shadows compared to the brilliance of our Cybertronian brethren. Where we possess elegance in transformation, they clumsily shift like rusted cogs in a broken machine. Where we exude power and authority, they whimper like malfunctioning servos in comparison.

"Into the Breach" may have its merits – I'll concede that much. The tactical elements and strategic depth are commendable, albeit in a primitive, human-centric manner. It's good

Each turn feels like it's own puzzle and the game gives you so much room to be creative. The mech squads are well designed, balanced and they all have their own unique playstyles. All the variance and creative freedom makes it so the game has a ton of replay value.

The fun version of chess. With mechas.

Very simple mechanics but with so much depth. Honestly surprised how much they did, and it's all explained and unlocked at a good pace. Almost endlessly replayable with short, satisfying session times. Underrated imo.

Excellent soundtrack, beautiful visuals and extremely fun and challenging game design. In my opinion, this is one of the best games ever made.

lots of moving parts. intuitive. fun.

my biggest complaint is that sometimes you just get the mega shaft while sometimes it's just too easy. some missions, you'll blow through easily with no mech damage, no grid damage, and all challenges complete. but then there are missions where your grid takes damage every turn, you fail a challenge, a pilot dies, and there's nothing you can do to avoid it
