Into the Breach on Android/iOS ?
From what I understand, you can get ITB on mobile only if you subscribe to Netflix and if you ever cancel your Netflix sub, you can't access your save game anymore, is that so ?

Good question

Maybe test this out on other Netflix games. Will probably work the same.

That is what read. I was actually pissed i hate Netflix and will never have a subscription to them ever especially to play a game on mobile. Bunch of sellouts well i hope it was worth it to them. What a joke.

So yeah, you can't play from the end of our subscription, until you restart it. And if it takes you more than 10 months, you lose everything.

Sorry guys, we like you, we like the idea of ITB on mobile, but you've picked the wrong partner.

This is indeed a very sad affair.

It's hard to say if we'd have ever gotten a mobile release were in not for Netflix's gaming service. Don't get me wrong, I really dislike Netflix, and I would absolutely love to pay for the game again and own it forever on my phone, but what I am saying here is to take it for what it is. It's not worse than never getting a Mobile port, and maybe some more people will get to hear of Into the Breach this way. Glass half full always, friends

Don't know about you, but I do not like idea of not "owning" a game, but having to have a subscription in order to play it.
I'd rather pay once.

Netflix must have sent them some money for this exclusive deal. Because of that, we get an advanced edition. So overall, a win imo

Other mobile options you can use

1) Nintendo Switch

2) Stream using Steamlink

Since its a turn based strategy game, streaming it is not a huge deal. No worry about input lag of the connection going fuzzy during a tense fight

You don’t really “own” games on Steam either though. You are basically paying for a license that could technically get revoked. That’s why I try to go DRM free when possible to actually have more ownership over my copies of games.

Into the Breach on Steam is DRM-free, at least. Runs just fine without Steam being open, so outside of surprise update that deletes the game, you can just copy it and it's good to go.

Not to mention Countries' laws that are above any EULA and prevent corps from taking what you paid for as long as corps want to have buisness in a country.

And subscription is another thing.

I am truly disappointed that Subset partnered with Netflix to launch ITB on Android/IOS. The general market vibe for Netflix isn't good and having to pay a monthly subscription to keep playing or your progress gets wiped like your Watchlist etc? Damn, poor choices made here. I love ITB and I'm stoked to have the Advanced Edition at last, but this...this wasn't a good choice for your fans in all honesty.
Yup, bad for people without a Netflix account. Overall it is not good.
E.g: I'd prefer paying a few bucks for the game itself and being able to play it on Android at any time, independent from a Netflix account. Like any other game that got ported to Android.
