Island 3 - Defend the Robots and Defend Robot Factories

Am I the only one who thinks that these missions are incredibly RNGy and difficult to complete? ESPECIALLY on hard mode. I'm referring to completing them and getting the 2 corporate reputations.

The defend the robots (not the one where you freeze them), try doing that on Hazardous Mechs, Flame Behemoths, Rustling Hulks, Blitzkrieg, it's awful.

Sometimes you can't avoid these missions lol.

Unfortunately some squads are poorly suited to certain missions. You'll just have to avoid them as best you can

The Ice squad is pretty good dealing with these missions. Everyone else might have a hard time. It's best to avoid them if you have the chance.

I really dislike those missions too. The Pinnacle and these rogue robots can go screw themselves.

They give you an extra freeze mech with crazy movement capabilities that freezes once per turn. That thing is godlike. The mechs you are defending I think only deal 1 dmg and you can just facetank it if you have to to avoid building/objective damage. For the most part I've had really good luck w/ this type of mission, unless it is cluttered by mountains/buildings.

Defend robots is not too bad with right sqad because of aforementioned freeze tank. Factories is terrible, maybe hardest mission, and I don't think you get freeze tank, but I wouldn't really know because I've only made the mistake of choosing that mission once.

There is a defend the robots mission that can appear that does not have a freeze tank. You just defend them and they run around dropping freeze mines but they don't attack.

Oh that's a different one but also not too bad with right squad

Do the Ice island first, it helps having less enemies spawn. If you have shell or blast psions there, prepare for a bad time. Rusting Hulks are good for these missions, the other three you mention are indeed terrible at defending things, best to just avoid those missions if you can.
