Protect the robots factory...
... is not a good mission for the freezing squad. Even though I figured freezing the factory would be a slick move even the +1 spawn

Interesting. In my own experiences, Frozen Titans usually overcomes this objective a little easier than the other squads.

I think it can be tempting to freeze the factories, but doing so makes it harder to defend against more Vek spawning in (since they are bulkier than 1-hp bots). As such, I normally let the bots sit a turn (since they do nothing, and they might get hit by a Mirror Mech backshot or by a Vek via repositioning) and I'll freeze a Vek in the meantime. That way, it reduces the amount of spawns for the coming turns, reducing threats and making this objective a lot more manageable.

In general though, I normally try to avoid this specific objective. It can prove to be a bit more difficult than others.

Agreed. I would have thought it was more doable. But it's too consistently a game ending or game threatening mission.

in 2018 you said freezing the factory did nothing, I just confirmed that it still does nothing (which is stupid). Giraffasaur said this is an easier objective with the Frozen Titans, but that makes no sense

I think originally freezing did stop the robots spawning, they were just saying that it was easier to deal with the robots and the vek, I guess because there's more units to manipulate into attacking each other (and a frozen vek still counts to the spawn limit)
