Movement - queue tiles or choose alternate path?
Is there a way to alter the path a mech takes? I'm in my first mine mission and I need to move a mech for 2 tiles (I have plenty of movement available), but the game is wanting to choose the path that takes me 1 step into a mine and other to the available space I want to get into instead of the other available space next to me, and then to the one I want to end up into.

Is there a really obvious way to queue movement like you can do in many other games as in tell the mech "this tile, this tile and then this tile" or do you just have to deal with what the game decides your path is?

Fortunately walking OVER mines doesn't trigger them, it only cares if you end your movement on the mine or if you get bumped into one. There's no issue.
Ah damn fair enough. But no such movement thing is available then? Thanks for quick response!

Yeah, no. But really there is no need for one. It at least seems like if your mech can move into a square, it doesn't matter what path they take, they will get there safely. It doesn't appear (to me, at least) that moving through hazards such as fire, or the aforementioned landmines, has any effect on your mechs unless, as June-pie said, you choose for some reason to stop on that square.

Exactly, only the tile you stop on matters. So there is no reason to put a path choosing thing in the game.
Cool, thanks guys.
Does this apply to pods too? Game states they'll be destroyed if trampled by a mech...

I haven't tried it, but I think this is the case. I seem to remember at least one instance where a Vek moved across a pod but didn't stop on that tile and the pod was intact, but I wouldn't swear to it!
If you walk past the pod you will retrieve it. All good.
