Into the Breach - Tech Support Info

Hello everyone! Thank you for buying Into the Breach, I'll be doing my best to make sure it's a smooth launch. It seems some of you are having troubles launching the game, so I just wanted to make a post here with instructions for how to help.

Potential Fixes (this will be updated over time):

1) Please update your video drivers. This will be the most common cause.

2) Disable HDR on your video card for Into the Breach. Open the Intel graphics card panel, go to 3d, go to Performance, and use all the 'Use application settings' type options. (According to here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/590380/discussions/0/1692662484259762412/)

I just got a graphics card crash with a DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET popup afterwards. Got a screenshot. Is this related maybe? My gfx card doesn't usually crash.

When I run the game, I see the loading screen for a brief moment before it turns white. I can still hear the sound and when I move the mouse I can hear the menu buttons react, but otherwise I can't see anything but a white screen.

Game was running fine yesterday on my intel HD 4000 laptop, its choppy as hell today for some reason.

White screen with Breach.exe crashing on Intel GMA 4500(M)(HD) Windows 10 as well. Does the game require opengl2?

I have GOG version. Crashes after load. My Intel HD Graphics 5500, has no HDR. And no way to disable it

Two things:

1) I've put up a beta build on Steam with some potential fixes and additional logging. To access that go to the game in your library, right click on it and go to Properties. Then in the Betas tab select "Beta" from the dropdown menu. Use "Verify Game File Ingregity" in the Local Files tab to force the update.

2) If you're having problems still, please do not post to this thread, follow the instructions here http://subsetgames.com/contact.html, sending both the log file and the dxdiag report, and we can try to help more effectively!

The game requires at least an Intel HD3000.

Just wanted to post a fix to a problem I was having. Every time I updated Into the breach Steam went on an update loop and the exe could not be found. It said that the content was corrupt. Seems my Anti Virus, Avast, was keeping blocked the exe and the upgrade process. Never happened to me before. So just check either your exceptions in your AV or what programs are blocked.

This is the first time it happened to me. Not other game on Steam has had the AV reacting this way. If I had to guess, taking into account the .exe file is called "breach", I can see why an AV can get all nervous when an executable file that is called that way is getting any sort of attention in hte background.

Anyhow, just check your AVs lists to check it is not blocked and it is dutifully excepted.

Thanks for the update Matthew, love the game and managed to fix my problem with a couple of reboots. No idea what was causing it but no recurrences.

Please implement some sort of full profile backup, not only the for the last timeline save. Got my profile reset after a power outage, lost all progress, achievements, unlocked squads. There needs to be a profile backup after every timeline and, ideally, a save backup after every battle.

I've go no audio for the game at all. All my other games work just fine, my computer speakers and everything are fine - but theres total silience from the game

I have hard screen freezes when i play missions. Also screen freezes hard when im trying to click hostile parts of island.

I think there is a bug with this game that if the game crashes for any reason, you loose all your profile progress, this won't stop me from playing this game, but could you guys please fix this? I really like this game, but I lost all my mech and pilot progress after more than 4 hours of play. Please fix this because I really enjoy this game.
