There are just maybe around 3 quests they force you to do the skirmish. So just ignore it if you dont like it.

FUNNY. I'm on the 5th skirmish quest in the "story," and I'm not far in the game at all.
I hate it, so I stopped playing it and left a bad review. And then yeah, started to ignore it until you came along.

More than half of this game involves the skirmishes and afk farming the kingdom. You cannot tell me otherwise when every aspect of the "open world" is locked behind leveling up your kingdom like it's a mobile game.

Yeah dude it's literally the worst ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing. Ni No Kuni 1 is wayyyyy better. People rag on the combat but it's super fun and engaging once you really get into the familiar system.

Yeah, I played the 1st a while ago, I loved it.. Was kinda skeptic about this one.. 9$ does not seem much but why buy it if I won't bother playing it

Dont knwo what you are talking about. You can do the skirmish but arent forced to do it. You must do just 3 skirmish for a story. First, before you build your town. Second, the water girl send you to kill the worm, on this island is a story skirmish and third the end boss.

At that point, why even put it in the game? And it's pretty annoying when I want to do side quests in an open world game and I keep getting blocked out of completing them because I literally refuse to do another dumb skirmish that's horribly done and has no place in the rest of the game. Really puts a damper in it being a game when I'm not allowed to have fun because they decided to implement a mechanic that they KNEW was iffy.
On top of that, the story is already GARBAGE and combat is weird to begin with. Why am I cycling through 3 weapons at once? Why have a familiar mechanic when it has no influence over battles when all I have to do is hit the thing until it dies? Why is everyone a furry? Why have different party members when they all do the exact same thing? It's just not a good game. It just isn't. Sorry if you're offended but...maybe you should pick up more responsibilities in your life if you're that scared of a Steam review. Or maybe you're one of the losers involved in making this ♥♥♥♥ show of a game and to you I say this: You are an idiot.

You have 3 weapons to maximize your dmg. With 100% weapon your next skill will get stronger.

And I dont really care what you review, its not my game. Also you reviewed the game 10 months ago before this thread, so I dont really understand what are you expecting with this thread. It's not really a hot take, it's pretty weird to have that type of thing in this game tbh. I too did not care for it at first and tried to skip them as much as possible but they need to be done later in the game so I ended up grinding and leveling up my troops and was easy enough to finish the easy ones then grind on hard modes until I had troops strong enough (and KGs to keep getting all upgrades for each skrim).
