Bad sales so far

FFXV - 300K sales
DRAGON BALL FIGHTERZ - 321K sales
SAO FB - 125K sales

I feel like this game overshadowed by FFXV and Far Cry 5 in march.

I think FF15 just has a much bigger fan base. Sales isn't necessarily an indication of a quality product, just look at Call of Duty.

To me, this game is fun, and it selling less then another game doesn't reduce that fun for me at all.

FFXV was never cracked. The pirates got hold of an unencrypted dev build thanks to a mistake by the devs. The game came cracked for them.

Actually, FFXV sold terribly by SE's standards, they'd expect at least Nier Automata level of sales. For NNK2 it must be as simple as pricing and simultaneous release with PS4, where it has most of its targeted audience. Steam is very much about Skyrim with sex mods, you know.

Denuvo has nothing to do with poor or good sales, even if others want to let you believe it does. You have those that skip games with denuvo and those probably would skip an official sale as well.

And those wanting a pirated version always will wait for a crack and wouldn't have bought the game on day one anyway. There are a few research reports that even suggest pirating even helps to drive sales slightly upwards.

But with how bloated steam has gotten you need those big pushes on the front page to get even noticed. And I mean with this the big banner on top of the featured storepage, like this weekend it was for the publisher deal. Most other games that don't use that will probably drown in the list of releases each day.

So in shor bad sales boils down to marketing and bringing the game in the public eye, which can be pretty expensive. And as far as I can tell was also lacking for this game.

This is the F4 experience FC 5 will get millions but will still be crap !
So I don't care for sales those don't give quality example F4 outsold Tes V that outsold fallout 3 that outsold Fallout NV so MEH !

ugh people are stupid. youre comparing sales of a game thats been out for over a year with multiple steep sales in between, with a game that hasnt been out for a month. Why don't people think before they type these days.

Three big franchises vs. one niche game. People rather buy what they know, that's why sales alone are no good indicator for quality.

Sales don't really matter on a SP game anyway. The big issue though is pricing and a lot of people on PC, may never have neard of Ni no Kuni if they have never had a PS3.

I never overpaid, I got lucky and got the game for £29.99 (used a voucher I won) but the base game is selling for around £40 on some sites.

I think the reason is probably because it's non denuvo protected and people already been pirating it right now.
