Push to talk not working?

Hi,

Just purchased this game. Push to talk does not seem to work, is this a common issue? i would like to be able to communicate by VOIP ingame.

Hey Jack,

Can you tell us the microphone you are using? You can also try changing the default key binding from 'Y' to another of your choice through the key options.

hi tried this, its a ROG centurion headset inbuilt microphone

Having a similar issue with a Razer headset. If I set it to any other device push to talk works, if I have it set as default (also my headset) or the headset itself, pushing Y does not enable push to talk

Thanks for the reply Bobby, will give this a go when i decide to play the game again! Very frustrating that such a simple thing doesnt seem to work...

You can also try going to Options > Audio > Then select your microphone from the drop down menu under VOIP.

I also have push2talk trouble. I know its not my system because I can use it on TeamSpeak, discord, and other games with builtin voip.

Refleax I tried that, I can choose other sources other than my mic and the voice activation icon will show up and work, If I try my mic I won't get the icon at all. I tried swapping drivers on my end as well to no avail. It works in other games that have PTT, must be some weird quirk with Holdfast haha

I seem to have the same problem with my Speedlink Triton Headset Mic.
I tried various other keys than 'Y' and tried to select the mic via the drop down menu (though it only shows me the options "Default" and " ") but nothing works. Is it just some specific Mics that are supported by the game?

this game does not seem to support USB mics. I have therefore shelved it. Poor response from developers too with no news of fix

I have a USB headset (Corsair VOID PRO) and I'm having the same issue.

Hello! We have replied on this specific issue beforehand on other threads. It's, unfortunately, an inherent issue from the game engine we're using. We've informed the team and are currently awaiting a fix.

Do any of you own another headset or perhaps a separate microphone to test if it works fine with that?

im not switching out a £350 headset just because its USB. This is a pretty big issue, lots of people use USB these days.
