These guys just dont care about the community, save for a select few.
We need some bot servers for the off hours.
I'm sorry to see folks get burnt, but it is a great game. Any way it can be worked out?
Attempts at what? Other than cosmetic cash grabs
Well, idk what the playcounts are, but they're continuing to update the game, and it don't seem they abandoned it.
but my main problem is with the optimization and connection problesm if your in asia its basically 200+ ping and no bots. now aimbots and pure cosmetics updates. its not really enough for new players for an old game.
I wouldn't wanna see the US Revolution in holdfast.
- Dilutes the current playerbase without really attracting that many new players.
- The players it does attract will likely be similar to on Battle Cry of Freedom and War of Rights that air particularly xenophobic views under the guise of historically accurate roleplaying.
- There current Holdfast servers especially NA are more american than the US Revolution ever was.
How is something you don't need to buy and gives your no material advantage over other players... a cash grab? Don't like it? Don't buy it! The DLC uniforms give people that like the game a chance to buy something they can use in game, and also throw a bit of money the devs way at the same time.
Locking stuff that was already in the game randomly one day because "Reasons" then charging money for it is by definition a "cash grab" .
Did the devs code new items to sell ? no they paylocked already excising content . I mean I can understand being too lazy to code a whole new game to sell , so a battle pass for the game you've already made would seem appealing . However battle passes usually include NEW and EXCITING items that are worth (to some) paying and or grinding for.
What has been done here is tantamount to a car company remote disabling your heated seats so they can charge you a subscription fee to use something that is and has been active in your vehicle till that point.
Well i suppose you may be right about the Civil War. But that's not the case i wouldn't think with American Revolution.
Plus with that, it's only a matter i would think of changing some uniforms around, the muskets and some American Maps.
Would it draw in more players? Well its a small developer. I didn't even know i can play this with a controller on Ge Force Now if not just out of a whim to get back on it after years.
And so it's tough for small dev teams to get the word out, about "anything" they may implement. This WW1 update (and it's huge) just coincided with me getting back into the game.
And we're having a blast. But that may be to say, only current players are coming back. Not new ones.
And so be it the American Revolution, or French Indian War, i think these ideas are doable and would be awesome additions, with even less work for the Deves then even WW1 was.
This is the first time we're hearing about this mate. Where and how was this done? DLCs which enable us to continue supporting the game have never and will never include non-cosmetic content.
Glad you're enjoying the latest update, Rangers! It's been good fun for our team as well. Can assure you that we're seeing plenty of new faces hop on Holdfast. It's always a great sight to behold.
