"The game map "Port Nile" has sparked significant controversy due to its colonial-themed design, which has been deemed problematic and offensive by many players, particularly affecting individuals from Black and brown communities. The portrayal and glorification of colonial settings can perpetuate harmful stereotypes and minimize the real-world suffering caused by colonialism. This can result in a game environment that feels exclusionary or distressing to players of color, who may see their ancestors' histories of oppression and exploitation being used as mere backdrops for entertainment. Furthermore, the map's design choices could inadvertently endorse a skewed, romanticized view of a painful historical period that continues to impact the lives and cultures of many people worldwide. It is crucial for game developers to consider the implications of such themes and strive for more inclusive and respectful content that honors all players' backgrounds and histories."

According to the subreddit, not me

And yet there are several desert maps. One of which has Pyramids in it. That can't be the reason. Napoleon fought in the middle east. Admittedly these maps would make more sense if they involved the correct/appropriate armies. I literally just played Desert ruins, two days ago and it was Russia V Austria.
I appreciate (VM) that you are reposting and that this isn't your opinion. But the above is clearly B**locks.
The reason Port Nile got removed (IMO) is cos it was an awful and devisive map.
