If you're so stubborn, why you just don't movin' it to version 1.4, instead of 1.5, on your pc?
Not sure if the guides below is up to date, or few things change but there is plenty guides over the web, how to download any version of the game published on Steam. Of course you need licence for a software you're trying to get, it's not a piratebay...

No real reason to blame the devs for that approval process time; it's not their fault.
Yep, in the past, MT/Evil Empire have sent the updates "up" at the same time. But Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo have to approve each update. It's that approval process that takes the extra time.
