Change the version
Hi, i need to transfer my ps4 save to PC, its work but when i launch the game he said "not the correct version save" because in ps4 save, it is only 1.4 and on PC it is 1.5. So it is possible to change the version of my game? Or when the PS4 will have the update 1.5? Thank

I can only find an old thread about the subject but the answer was that the PS4 save was not compatible with the PC version (and probably the same the other way around).

Did they change this since january?

I think yes because in the official discord of deadcells some players can do switch to pc and ps4 to pc.

Consoles and PCs saves/files are not compatible.

But if you rename the save it can be. It's worked with a friend

No idea what you're trying to achieve. Saves on pc are in format save_x.dat, where x is slot number. No idea how it looks on a console, and not sure why you want to change a name anyway, it's not a filename problem, but that save states both on pc and console are reffering to different things, this is different game (version) to start with.

If you're so stubborn, why you just don't movin' it to version 1.4, instead of 1.5, on your pc?

You can download older version from a Steam. Everything is archived in repositories. You can take a look and browse a library over: https://steamdb.info/

Not sure if the guides below is up to date, or few things change but there is plenty guides over the web, how to download any version of the game published on Steam. Of course you need licence for a software you're trying to get, it's not a piratebay...

Some first results found in the Google:

Alternatively, you can wait a while longer. I imagine that the devs have sent this new build to Sony for approval. Once it's approved, it will be pushed to PS4 players.

No real reason to blame the devs for that approval process time; it's not their fault.

There is still a lot of internal/external testing before sending game to publisher. PC version was just released, along with few minor patches after showing 1.5 to public. And I guess dev is trying to push all 3 releases, PS4, XboxO and Switch in about the same time, so it's even more time consuming.

Yep, in the past, MT/Evil Empire have sent the updates "up" at the same time. But Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo have to approve each update. It's that approval process that takes the extra time.
