Favorite Biome? Least favorite Biome?
Just out of curiosity, explain why.
Favorite Biome: Ossuary. Its really big, no trouble with the enemies there, love the atmosphere.
Least favorite Biome: Sleeping Sanctuary. I hate the golems. 5BC AND STILL DONT KNOW HOW TO FIGHT THEM. Love the aesthetics though.

Wanna know what you all think :)

Favorite biome(s): Cavern / Astrolab

I think overall the DLC biomes in general are really good. They have fantastic visuals, music, enemy designs, and are structured in more distinct ways when compared to the game's original biomes. The Rise of the Giant biomes in particular are my favorites, due to how many new enemy additions there are between them. I feel like Bad Seed and Fatal Falls leaned a little bit too much on recycling older enemies, in comparison.

Least favorite biome: Corrupted Prison

That area has always felt unfinished to me, as if it's still using placeholder assets. I suppose that's due to the fact that it had to be designed to mimic the old biome designs, despite being a much newer addition. But it was also a part of the Corrupted update, which was an update that I simply did not like.

Favourite: Clocktower
I love the music, I love the verticality. It feels different from the other biomes, but really nice. Maybe it's nostalgia from when it was the area leading up to the final boss. I probably also like it in comparison, because I'm not very fond of the Stilt Village so I was always glad when I got there.

Least favourite: Forgotten Sepulcher
I hate the time pressure. Just not my style of playing. I never go there.
Honourable mention for the Bad Seed biomes which I find generally ugly and annoying.

Fav: Sewers. It's funny, I enjoy it.

Hated: The one where darkness kills you, I don't understand how to play that area and it always kills me.

Favorite: Hard to pick between Clock Tower and Castle, but I'd probably go with Castle. Unique structure full of loops and alternate ways to go, so you can path around enemies you don't like or attack them from a different angle, enemies that are dangerous but generally have low HP for that point in the game, when you get into a good flow state you really feel like you're tearing through the enemies too. Excellent music.

Least favorite: Probably Ancient Sewers. The spiker mushrooms can be annoying, sure, but I'm less of a fan of the tentacles which are still kind of unpredictable, the combination of shieldbearers and low ceilings mean you have to take your time in several encounters, and some of the trap segments are really precise. I'm glad this area doesn't have a Cursed Chest anymore, I died routinely to curse in here. Ambient but vaguely unpleasant music.
I'd say I like the graveyard the most, it's pretty easy and always has the same layout (or close to it.

Worst - clock tower. Weird choice, I know, but there's so many traps and tight spaces and it's super long.

Favorite: might be a toss-up between the Caverns (I just really love the look, the cool blue and purple aesthetic just sits really nice with me) and the Arboretum. I love the dilapidated gardens, the music I think is one of the best in the game, and I think it's probably the easiest second biome choice in high-BC games. Honorable mention: Undying Shores. Once again, I really like the look, feel and color palette of this area. It's only setback is you're locked into fighting Scarecrow by going here, and I'm rarely doing that.

Least favorite: The Distillery, and it's not even close. I'm kinda shocked no one has mentioned that biome yet, since I hear tons of people hate it, too. Did everyone just forget about it? I just never have a good time there. I don't like the enemies, it looks very sterile and bland to me, and the exploding barrels and the mechanics around them are just annoying to me. It's the only biome in the game I genuinely don't like.

About The Distillery, I have a love-hate relationship with this place. I love the aesthetics and the mechanics through the level but its waaaay more difficult than High Peak Castle. So, I never go there in 2BC or more, its just not worth it :c

Favourite: a lot of them, but if I have to choose one, it's Fractured Shrines. I just love the atmosphere, visuals, music, hammer traps, everything.

Least favourite: The Nest. Mama Tick is just a boring boss. Or, if I have to choose an exploration biome, then the Distillery. The barrel shooter rooms just don't click with me, possibly because I'm clumsy with them...

Honorable mention: Forgotten Sepulcher. I used to hate the place, but once I realized how to play it safely (well, relatively safely), I find myself heading there more and more often. Actually, I don't really mind dying there either, as the Time Keeper doesn't pose much challenge (BSC0 and BSC1), I'm slightly bored by High Peak Castle due to overexposure (I usually skip the Distillery), and the HotK fight, while it's challenging, is also slightly depressing.

least favorite is easily derelict distillery. all those damn traps just piss me off

Favorite is Ossuary. Least favorite is hands down Derelict Distillery.

My favorite is the toxic sewers. A lot of the other biome's layouts start to feel very familiar after a lot hours in the game, but the toxic sewers feel more unique each time. I also like the atmosphere of it. Other honorable mentions are stilt village (I like it thematically and the combat feels good in it) and undying shores (by far the most atmospheric biome, and it has the interesting mechanic of having different bestiary depending on the route you took).

Least favorite is slumbering sanctuary, which feels very similar every time you play it. I also am not a fan of the ossuary, which has endless amounts of empty hallways and elevators, usually connecting to the samey rooms from previous runs. And yeah derelict distillery is pretty bad, again it almost always has the same layout, and I think the new rooms they added to it recently just make it extremely annoying with the barrel trap spam. If you don't have high enough DPS to quickly kill those moving barrel enemies you're going to have a really bad time.

I know lot of people might be sick of the prisoners quarters by now, but I honestly really like it. Again it feels unique every time and is short and sweet. It also helps that you aren't committed to a specific color yet so you can combine gear from all colors for some fun and experimental stuff.

Favourite: High Peak Castle. It's got just the right amount of challenge

Least favourite: Any Sewers. The amount of times i hit the acid pool and it ruined my streak is absurd
