Door after final boss?

I just beat the final boss for the first and second time and I am wondering whats with the door after the final boss that needs to be opened from somewhere else. Do I need the spider rune for this because I think I see a way over on the top but it's gaurded by spikes so maybe also extra jumps?

Thanks man, I was kinda wondering why there was a giant door that cant be opened. Cool I can't wait for the upcoming stuff as I have played this game since "the incomplete one" sure I have taken breaks but I will come back always and it's good to see more upcoming

I think it would be pretty cool, probably would be pretty tough and also fun. Problem is where do we go after where we are?

In my playthough, after the hand of the king is gone. The kings throne is also gone, and thusly i can't turn into a slimeball. Maybe its a bug?
