Does Vinnie actually work?

I've got objective 'survive 10 deathclaws' attacks'. Prize was 1 pet box. One of my dweller made last-hit. It was only one in that room so noone could make last-hit on last 10th attack. And it was equipped with Vinnie (x2 Objective Complition). But as a result I've got only one Pet box.

Does Vinnie actually work?

It counts towards objective requirements, not the prize.

He SPEEDS UP objectives, not duplicates rewards, how that came into your head?

With him you just needed to survive 5 attacks instead of 10.
