Strength over 10 doesn't increase damage?
I'm 95% sure that strength over 10 has no noticeable effect (if any) on damage. I'd like a confirmation on this.

It might add some damage, anyway the most important is endurance, more health, more chance to survive
Frozic Apr 7, 2017 @ 4:50am
Actually endurance only helps when you are leveling, after dweller is lvl50 endurance is useless for combat (but has still some use for exploring).. I was thinking that agility might be the best and the only useful stat over 10 for vault defense (and probably the best stat for quests too, luck coming somewhere behind and perception is ok if you are bad making bigger critical hits). But I'm not actually 100% sure that agility makes you attack faster when defending vault, but I guess it does like it does when questing. Which would mean that diner/garden would be the best first room where enemies attack.

Well before level 50 it helps a lot,It increase their hp each time they level up. Agility is for how fast your dwellers will attack before enemies

the answer is ... :steammocking: prolly not, but not sure. Here's some info for the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. 's in Fallout Shelter.

Hmm.. "Agility - In quests or in the wasteland it determines how many shots they can fire before the enemy does or how much damage the dweller can avoid when fleeing from hopeless battles."
So it seems it useless for vault defense if it's only used in quests or wasteland.

Hard to say, if regeneration is in % not HP units - then yes.

To OP: Strength does not increase damage at all, even <=10.

I was under the impression that if a weapon has any randomness in the damage, for example 15-20 damage, having low strength means that you hit more often for 15 damage but if you have 10 strength you hit more often for 20 damage (if not always).

No, so just use AVG damage when comparing weapons.

according to the wiki-page (https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?url=http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_Shelter_SPECIAL) it does increase damage so i guess we have two contradicting statements. op can either do some more research, wait until enough evidence is provided to prove one of them or just choose which one he likes better and believe that that is the one that's true.
still doesn't really anwser the question what happens when str goes above 10, but i guess, at least according to the wiki, it would not increase dmg since dwellers with 10 str already always do max dmg.

Wiki is a worse less precise source, i'm sure. But you can do your own research instead of redditors if you wish so.

Strength
Strength increases the speed at which power generators and Nuclear reactors generate power.

It also determines how much a dweller can carry while exploring the wasteland and increases the damage the dwellers can deal; at 10 Strength the dweller will always inflict the maximum damage of the weapon he is wielding. Stronger dwellers also have a greater chance at successfully opening lockers they find in the wasteland.

Dwellers can improve their strength in the Weight room.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_Shelter_SPECIAL

From this it would appear that strength does not per say increase damage, but instead increasing the chances that the weapon will hit higher on its predetermined damage scale.

If this is correct, then adding additional % chance to an attack that is already 100% to hit for max, would be entirely unnecessary.

I did not find any more information on this matter, and very few important things is explained in the game.

Don't read that wiki page, it's FUBAR and no one bothers to fix that crap. Use https://github.com/therabidsquirel/The-Fallout-Shelter-FAQ/wiki/*2.-SPECIAL
