Fallout Shelter
Best way to handle radscorpions?
The game has a steep scale after scorpions. Deathclaws obviously do insane amounts of damage, but the rad + dmg climb from a scorpion kills off my people too fast. I cant heal properly either as most rad bags stack over the stempack icon so I can do one or the other, for 2 out of 6 of my people.

This is going to make me quit playing I can see it now. lost over 2k caps in 3 minutes over 1 failed rush and a random spawn. They have more health than a boss fight and do more damage than a boss for being 1 or 2 mobs, Ive clowned whole mobs in less time. Its overburdening.

I've become convinced I'm part of one of Vault-tec's secret research projects.

- Day 7. Subject Sysiphus is starting to strain under the radscorpion onslaught. As per head office advice, following each radscorpion incursion all radroach, molerat and fire events are removed from the schedule. When Sysiphus attempts to replenish lost energy stores and inevitably comes up against another fatal production failure, he is confronted with yet more radscorpions. This process sometimes is repeated four or five times in quick succession. When his vault begins to brown out and his stimpack and radaway stores are depleted, the subject screams inarticulately and threatens the overseer terminal. Developments promising. Request bigger radscorpions.

I did manage to kill one, but the rest has been left to just roam as they wish. Just can't kill them. If they emerge in a lvl 3 room you're boned. Wait it out and minimize damage.

Do NOT grow faster than your dwellers can manage.

1: do not pass the Radscorpian dweller cap ( 49 i think. maybe 39. go check the wiki ) before you have well geared dwellers in ALL resource rooms. (same applies to Deathclawsm but a diferent strat since the break in through the front gate)

2: do NOT level rooms ( especially merged rooms ) to level 3 before your dwellers are geared & leveld. This increase the HP & Damage of enemies spawned in your base from event encounters like radscorpians, mole rates, etc. So a radscorpian spawned in a 2 wide tier 2 room is much weaker than a radscorpain spawned in a 3 wide tier 3 room.

3: You can limit the spread of most encounters with dead zones between floors / rooms. Only radscorpians ignore this strat siince they can climb on there own. But fires, mole rats , radroaches will all be limit by doing this.

4: Radscorpians drain power, so do NOT rush build nuclear power plants, since its a flat percentage of reserve power that is lost.. and the larger the reserves.. the more that is lost. Having extra t1 or t2 power plants, which increase power pproduction, with the smallest addition to reserved power really helps.
Later in mid game to late game, when your dwellers are ALL very well geared with very good weapons; then you can start going nuclear once you know you can kill the radscorpians quickly.

good luck have fun

hope i didint forget any important tips.:steammocking:
