i just read somewhere on this forum that people are able to CHEAT and alter their skills and get more lunch boxes without paying for them... i spent $5 into this game for a starter pack... why did i spend $5? damnit!!! i wish i could reverse time. well... since you can download a cheating program and just cheat...i really dont see what harm its doing anyone... you cant kill other peoples bases or anything... theres no leader board that i know of... so why not cheat? no more money spending... im out

It's really up to the player. Maxing out a vault without cheating is an acomplishment that you, yourself, can be proud of. Don't worry about what other people do, play this game the way you want to play it. If you want to cheat, cheat. If you want to play honestly, play honestly.

I'm surprised you spent money on micro transactions on a mobile port without doing any research before hand...

... why are you surprised, players have been able to cheat, for pretty much every single game on PC & Consoles & Boradgames & Cards & Dice & etc.

also, Fallout Shelter was an obvious cash grab since it was basically an 'unworked' mobile port.

Have you seen all those threads by players who got circle jerked by Bethesda & Steam who had their save game's disapear after a bug/glitch. Some of them spent alot of real money ... and lsot it all and only some of them got refunds.

Welp, Bethesda is happy you gave them some moneyies , Steam is also since it got a 'cut'.

I prefer the feeling of accomplishment, especially on Survival Mode.

In my regular Non-Survival Mode 1st Vault I've spent some money on some Quantums not long after the game came out during a promo, I think around £20 in total that got me quite a lot, the majority of which I still have remaining so I can jump on, quick-start a mission that may take 6-8 hours to begin otherwise, finish the mission then let my Dwellers make their own way back while I upgrade and set the rest up to travel out for another mission/train while I go about my day.

It's not that much to be honest. I've had a good time playing the game so far and knew about the save file editor for a good while now but never could be bothered to check it out.

its a single player game. I've used saved game editors in most of my single player games if I wanted to.

Is it scamming them to do what I normally do, when they decided to charge me to do it for me?

"single player game" doesn't justify anything. It's not about cheating, Idgaf if you want to cheat or not.

I wouldn't gaf if you found a way to h4x WoW and get away with it and ruined every WoW players' game lives, you can butthurt a lot of players, but it doesn't hurt the company.

Meanwhile, all you care about is yourself and other ppl's greedy liddle #$% feels.

It's not a competitive game. There's no ranking system or multiplayer. So how does other people cheating affect your gaming experience?

I have one vault that I legitimately grew from the beginning, and one that I like to think as a sandbox where I can experiment with rooms and dwellers and stuff. In the sandbox, I edited the save file to start off with some better dwellers and more caps

Why are you even playing games if just the mention of someone being able to cheat is enough to put you off?

Glad i havn't spent a penny on this game (or any free game). Far too easy to succeed without spending so why bother? So many kids these days complaining they got ♥♥♥♥ cards or something when they paid money for a mystery box.

When you think about it tho, if it wasn't worth it to have those 2 dollards candy machines with toys inside at the exit of every store then you would not see those all over.

It is the same principle here. Want the shiny, try your luck, got BS, try it again. Until you grow up a brain or until you get what you want. Either way the guy behind the machine get your money.

Because for a slice of variable time dependant on ones ability to percieve you can try to seize a moment of contentment or pleasure. That's what I am in it for. I have taken to apply that rule to most things in life as I can. Doesn't always work, but there you go.

People cheating in games is not a new thing, just keep playing fair and dont cheat because others do.
People stealing money from others makes you rich, should you do it because others do ... didn't think so.
