Legendary dwellers?

Does anyone know if you can get legendary dwellers without opening lunch boxes? I got Preston from the started pack at the beginning of the game but I feel like the started pack always gives me Preston.

I think non-unique legendaries can be bred and uniques can only be found from lunchboxes.

Can't be bred as far as i know.
2 can be got through quests.

AFAIK you can get Preston Garvey and Sarah Lyons from quests ("A Settler Needs Your Help" and "Climbing the Ranks" questlines, respectively). You've got to find everyone else in lunchboxes.

I actually have a quest that tell me to find and talk to Harkness, a Legendary dweller, an important npc of Fallout 3. But it's a lvl 37 quest and my team is actually around lvl 34, i'll let you know if i get him.

You can also find "provide fire support to Paladin Cross", but not all quests that mention legendary dwellers will let you get them.

You get Harkness after completing that quest. He is really good (I liked his quest in Fallout 3), he always explores until his inventory is full.

whatever. yeah you get a few from quests. best bet is get a ton of lunchboxes though. its about one legendary dweller per 30 lunchboxes.

you get lunchboxes thru quest objectives and wasteland exploration. (super duper mart defeat raiders repeatable quest food fight)'

would take around 480 lunchboxes though, and at 20 a week thats like 6 months.

Nice, thank for the info, didn't got a single Legendary dweller in lunchbox (about 15 boxes) in my current vault, that will help. ^^

Yes, its ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridicolous. Im playing this game since its release for android phones. From that till steam release i managed to get 13 legendary dwellers in total from quests or lunchboxes. So it took around 1 1/2 years from phone to steam release? Without buying lunchboxes, only had them per ingame gift for quests or as weekly gift.
Transfered my save to pc and the achievement counter told me i have 1 of 20 legendary dwellers

OK.

I've played for 2 weeks, and used a save game editor to give myself 1000 lunchboxes.

I've opened close to 400 of them I generally open 10 whenever I find a box.

Currently at 17 legendary dwellers haven't done preston's quest yet.

Don't see where the anger is coming from. took 20 seconds to edit the save file.

some players don't like that, myself i couldnt care less, i never have played games for achievments.

However, something ou should be aware of, Bethesda SELLS microtransactions for this game. And you agreed to the EULA, which states your entire Steam account can be banned if you do use a cheat thingy to give yourself what they sell.

Okay guys, I just completed the questline "Climbing The Ranks" Once you complete that you are rewarded with the legendary dweller Sarah Lyons. Hope this helps yall on the same journy and me trying to get all the legendary dwellers!
