stupid question. but is server side patches a thing?

i seem to be able to do a lot more things now than a few hours ago. like depressurize the ships elevetor which neither me or my friends had been able to since launch.

i dont know how this stuff works but can small things be done server side without a client update... just curious?

The ship elevator is working as a sas fine since day 1. I don't know if there is any server side patch, but as game with a main server, i think we'll se some server side patch during Hellion life :)

Yes things can be done server side most initi changes or lag dyscn issues

it would be nice for them to give us updates when they do this so that we can test it for our self seeing as we are the ones pointing out most of the bugs for them

Small server changes are done by the admins themselves. We constantly try to tweak settings to get the best performance out of the game. As for actual updates .... server updates do exist but rarely happen as they like to bundle it with client side fixes.

And even if they do come out alone the devs will still post change logs and an update for admins of private servers to update their servers as well.

Try airlock control in cargo - not working

I never had issues with the elevator, it only allows u to use the pressure gauge after you have had the cargo doors open and realeased the pressure from that room.

However I did notice my home station now shows my ship and number rather than just saying Junk, anyone else noticed this?

That was fixed in the last patch already.

since day one i have not been able to depressurise elevator in ship... assumed it was not implemented/bug. suddenly suprised i finally could today ( even after patch)... why i asked.

When u have opened your cargo bay door, you'll be allowed to use your elevator as an airlock.
I advise you to cut the life suport in cargo bay if you want use it. You ll don't loose O2 and ressources ;)

ahhh ok. because ive never opened the cargo bay door up untill now. cool cool

i can't dock anymore at all. things start spinning uncontrollably with every single mouse movement and nothing will stay centered in the radar if I'm lucky enough to get it steady to be in the reticule.

I just got teleported into the airlock because the desync is so bad.

but yes..server side only patches are nothing new.
