System Requirements ?
I wanted this game but is there even a way to not require those insane system requirements? The requirements are so dam deadly for my 1000 can$ computer.

Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9400F CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz

Ram : 12.0 GB

GPU : Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650

Its not like I have a getho computer, yet this game, ouch.

Just saying, you are losing a ton of sells with those requirements.

Just saying, the game is selling very well. Thanks for your concern.

Have you even tried to run the game? DV has undergone a lot of recent optimizations as of the last patch and it runs a lot better now than those reqs were written I speculate. It seems like the only thing maybe holding you back is a few GB of RAM. Memory is cheap right now. I have an 8 year old AMD FX8350 @4.0, 32gigs of ram and and a GTX 1070 and I play at 4k with almost everything as high as it goes

Minimum:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 64-bit
Processor: Intel i5-7400 or equivalent
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GTX 650 (VR: GTX 970)
Storage: 6 GB available space
VR Support: SteamVR or Oculus PC
Additional Notes: VR optional

What is insane about them? That is a six year old entry level CPU as minimum.
16GB RAM is the bare minimum these days and the GTX 650 is even older than the CPU.

Is there a demo for me to try it? Also, is just a bit lower ram really going to affect the game?

Worst case, the steam refound progam is a honest one (if you heven't abuse it). Buy the game, teste it out for LESS THAN 2 hours of play time. If your satified, keep it. Otherwise, refound it. As simple as that!
The game ist' to big.

See the actuall refound policy of steam. But, from what i remember, it's lees or egal at 2 hours of play time or 2 week after pursache.
If play time is lower than 2 hours, but the 2 week have pass since the purshase have been made not refund. No refund either if play time is greater than 2 hours.
(Those 2 hours will give you enought time to teste your system.)

THEN AGAIN, YOU MUST READ THE REFOUND POLICY OF STEAM. THIS IS JUST WHAT I REMEMBER. It's done at your own risk.

I did saw videos, it is very good, it just sucks my computer is just not good enough. It combines both Train Sim World 2 and Trainz. But there should atleast maybe be a benchmark .exe or something :l

So far, the only issue you have in getting this game to run, would be your RAM. 12GB is a very oddball number anyway. How come? Running 8+4GB RAM sticks? Doesn't make much sense as it ruins Dualchannel and costs you performance.

And RAM is dirt cheap right now.
Get a matching set of 2x8GB or 2x16GB RAM sticks, put it in and you're good to go.
RAM is pretty much the easiest component to install in a PC. Just check your manual to see which RAM banks you should use to utilize Dualchannel.

Additionally, enable XMP/DOCP in your BIOS to utilize the full speed of your RAM kit.

I recommend 3200MHz CL16 as a price, performance and compatibility sweetspot.

It indeed depends on your current hardware, according to Intel ARK an i5-9400F takes DDR4-2666 (or faster, like DDR4-3200. I wouldn't go slower, like DDR4-2133 as it's not cheaper, just slower), and you can get an 8 GB DDR4-3200 DIMM for ~€ 15 (or cheaper second hand).

Your computer complies with the minimum requirements apart from RAM. 12GB is a weird amount to have, you can't run dualchannel which costs you performance. I'd rip the 12GB out and throw a 2x16GB set in it and you should be able to run it.

Depending on where you are, you can get some DDR4 2x16GB for under 60 euro's.

as others have said, even with 12GB of RAM you should be alright. you may not be able to have a lot of extra programs open while you play the game (especially if you want to get to playing with mods), but 12GB is 100% do-able.

Also with that CPU and GPU, you'll be fine for playing the game in non-VR. Might have to turn settings down a teeny bit to get a stable 60fps but overall you should be perfectly fine

Hello my fllow i5 9400f user. i feel the pain since hardware in my country costs an arm and a leg so i have to cope with this low end cpu. Anyways long story short.

My spec
Intel core i5 9400f -al cores on turbo at 3900mhz
Asrock b365m pro4 mobo
16gb 2666mhz ram
rtx 3060ti

my fps on this ranges from 35 and all the way up to 60fps, depending on the location.
cpu stays pegged most of the time at 70, spiking all the way to 90w of power usage while gpu stays relatively bored (even on my 1440p res on ultra) so yes, this cpu is pulling a muscle but still delivers a decent fps. since im used to anything between 30 to 60fps, its till pretty playable for me. I had gtx 1660ti and this game still ran decently on 1080p ultra so it is not much of a workload for gpu.
Just try it and you will see.

12 GB used to be more common with older high end triple channel setups, but indeed it's probably not a great idea with more recent, dual channel hardware.

Regarding performance, this game doesn't perform extremely well even with extreme hardware. Even with my $5000+ computer I dip below 60 fps at times.
