Cant find the train i want

i just got the licence for the tiny steam train and i cant find it anywhere. is there an easier way to find this thing other than jumping around the map until i find it.

There is "Sandbox Mode" where you can spawn it with the radio, but in Career mode, you just cross paths with them eventually.

Check around the smaller stations where other shunters spawn (e.g. farm, sawmill, forest, etc.). You should find the 0-6-0 after some searching; it's random.

I'm in the same boat, I've searched basically everywhere. Not a single spawn of the S060 anywhere.

Try doing a job with a 282 and you will probably see more 060's.

I'm doing career mode, I can't afford the 282 license yet. I managed to find an S060 at one of the iron mines after spending around 40 minutes and $15,000 on fast travel. A bit irritating, but I'm excited to ♥♥♥♥ up my first steam engine.

I did a few runs between the Sawmill and Forest South and the S060 appeared in Forest South (automatic tutorial almost made me derail, but I didn't).

buy a shovel and a lighter bevor searching for a s060, nothing worse than finding one and then get the message "need shovel and lighter to use it" with no shop at the location. Then just do jobs in farm/sawmill/forrest central and youll find one.

Nah that ain't a thing. I run the 282 religiously and have only come across one or two 060s.

I've had the best luck finding the 060 at the Farm, Steel Mill, Goods Factory, or the forest location closest to your house. Even the Harbor from time to time.

Schutt, that is exactly what happened when I found it the first time! Fast traveled away to purchase a shovel+lighter and when I came back it was gone! QQ
The one I'm running right now is actually the second S060 I found.

It took me several hours to finally find one because I didnt have money for teleports.

I definitely think that now there are several locos that share the same spawn points, steps should be taken to either allow you to choose what loco spawn, or to make sure there are at least a few places on the map that always spawns a certain loco or all loco types in one spot.

The rng thing is crazy.

You used to be able to enable the loco spawner in career, but it looks like they removed that option in Simulator, sadly.
