[Minor Spoilers] Stuck at Moon Cave! Elevator wont take me up

I gave the chef all of the ingredients, was taken up to Orochi's floor, passed through the quick save gate, but had to leave the game. I'm playing it again and am back on the base floor, and the elevator imp won't take me up. Speaking with them just gives me dialog about how thrilling the ride is. Ringing the bell more times didnt help, it just spawned a scroll (which I fought, did nothing).
I think this happened because I went through the quick save gate, so the elevator thinks I'm up there. I don't want to have to completely restart, I only had one save. Can anyone help me out?

IIRC the golden gates don't keep your game saved after you exit to main menu or quit the game, so that shouldn't be an issue. So, on your last proper save did you have everything you needed? I ask because this is not a bug I've ever seen anyone else report and there's always a chance you saved before delivering some of the ingredients or activating something else. Try talking to the chef and checking the map.

There really is no reason why you quitting the game all of a sudden would affect your save file (there's no autosave that could corrupt your file if you quit while it's happening). If you corroborate you have everything and it just won't let you move forward, I would appreciate you sharing your savefile for me to check as well. I also have saves at almost every point in the game, so if it comes to that I can send you one of those.

Golden Gates are not "quick save" gates... You didn't save your game and you're at where you last saved the game.

I talked to the chef, and yeah I didn't give the ingredients before saving! I'm boo boo the fool |D Thanks a bunch for the help!
