Is this any good
I noticed its not being translated by Xseed so i need a little bit of convincing
is there a dub or turbo mode and how are graphical options and stability and performance?

Yes, the game has real-time action combat, similar to Ys (or if you haven't played Ys similar to most "dodge and poke" style action games), in varying difficulties from "so easy you really can't lose" all the way up to a fairly significant challenge (provided you don't mind the occasional cheap shot for half your HP from a non-boss enemy just off-screen, because that probably will happen at least once...the bosses play fair though and that's the most entertaining part of the gameplay). You would NOT want a turbo feature for the gameplay though, not even on easy. There's a fast forward for dialogue (and a fast-fast forward that blacks out the screen and skips scene transitions, in the event that you've really had enough of the plot's nonsense), and a sprint that lets you move faster in dungeons and the overworld if you just want to move fast.

The combat is also the only reason to buy the game at full price: if you enjoy this sort of combat, you will almost certainly get your money's worth out of this game, and if you don't you'll end up regretting the purchase. You can easily get 50-60 hours of playtime out of this (or 100+ if you do a second playthrough), but the plot is decent at best (and terribly paced for the first 20-30 hours before finally picking up and getting somewhere) and the characters, while mostly likeable are with one or two exceptions all generic RPG characters you've seen before. The game also has an overall "we know you've seen all this before, we have too and we'll make jokes about it" tone (it's less meta about it than say the Neptunia series, but doesn't even pretend it's original and instead pokes at its own cliches...which is not necessarily a bad thing and I somewhat enjoyed but don't expect a super serious plot).

As to the original questions, it is a very good port from my experience (runs smoothly, doesn't even make the fans on my graphics card start up while running) and looks about as nice as an HD port of a Vita game can look without being entirely rebuilt from the ground up (so better than a lot of recent games), though it's still an HD port of a Vita game. Stability-wise, I haven't had it crash once in 110 hours of gameplay.

There is no English dub, and the Japanese dub is good but far from the best you'll ever hear provided you're into Japanese dubs at all. None of the voices make you want to mute the characters at least. The translation is...well, bad describes it well enough. That being said, unless you understand Japanese well enough to not actually need the English text or deliberately look for typos, you probably won't notice most of the translation errors in the current version and it all comes down to how bothered you'll be by reading some variant of *giggle* or *chortle* every few minutes (or in some cases every few lines). Understanding Japanese makes the translation look a lot worse, but at that point you could probably just play the game in Japanese and ignore the English text entirely. Outside of the dialogue, the translation is serviceable enough (with the possible exception of one boss they just couldn't seem to decide on a name on so its name changes a dozen times), at the very least you'll know what your skills do and the tutorials make sense.

The short version is if you enjoy this style of action combat (can look up a video if you're not sure what style it actually is) or if you value your game purchases on an hours of playtime per dollar spent (regardless of content) then this game is well worth its full price (especially if you enjoy the combat). If you're on the fence, it'll probably be on sale for $35 again at some point. And if you don't enjoy the combat at all, there's really not enough left to justify the purchase at all in my opinion: the plot and minigames can't exactly carry the game.

Game is pretty much Persona(comparing it to part 4), but with action combat instead of turn base.

Yes, it's sad Xseed didn't localize this one as Aksys did a pretty crappy job. It's good enough though. No dub, no turbo, and I had no graphical or performance issues on my pc.

Game is good, translation is crap. Not as bad as NISA's original Ys VIII translation, but still pretty crap.
No dub, no turbo, performance and stability are fine.

I loved this game. It was very good. I completed both Original Story plus the Bonus Story. There was no performance issues with my MSI gaming laptop. And no game crashes either.

hmm might wait for sale then
turbo is nice quality of life thing but lack of it is't exactly a deal breaker as long as everything else works

What would like turbo for anyway? There is a skip button to skip past dialogue and story cutscenes and stuff.

But yeah, there was a sale like a month ago, game was $35.

Turbo makes the gameplay stuff like combat and traversing the overworld much less sluggish
and if the game is anything like Trails of Cold Steel it can be really slow at times

It's like a total copy of Trails of the Cold Steel (even all mini games come straight from ToCS like Blade and Mishy Panic). But battle system is Ys with fast-paced real-time action and no battle screen loading, with 2-10 mins per dungeon on low difficulty (can be up to 30-40 on Calamity) i dunno where you expect for turbo to step in...

oh wait it has real time combat?
that changes everything :v
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

No dub, no turbo, performance and stability are fine.

However there is a fast forward setting, so for skipping large amounts of text/events its actually a lot better then Cold Steel's turbo mode which is capped at 4/6x.
That said, playing this game with turbo on is pretty difficulty in combat I imagine, unless your skilled enough to dodge attacks even at 6(12)x the speed.

Translation is decent enough. Some parts a bit rough, but overall its has less alterations then a Xseed translation, so personally I prefer it to one of those.

Otherwise, as mentioned in the above post, voice acting isn't super but not terrible either, and enjoyment of gameplay comes down to enjoying action games in the style of Ys. It can get frustrating at times, but more in a way ''yeah I totally failed there but dont want to blame myself'' kind of way.

I would say its worth it, since the game is a lot more interesting (with overall having better script, and better main characters) then Cold Steel, even if the world/setting is less developed, and the enemies more generic. Despite very much being a persona clone, the game actually does make it feel like a (good) persona style game, while poking fun at it at the same time.

I was on the fence myself, but I don't regret buying it at all.
How is the game length compared to the Trails of cold Steel games?

Took me about 55 hrs for my first playthrough. I think the average is like 50-60.

If its pure time spend your after, you can get more hours out of Cold Steel (maybe twice as much, if going for 100% completion) but if its efficient time spend your after, Tokyo Xanadu is shorter, but with most of the filler cut out.

No spending hours talking to NPCs or running to a new destination in this game.
There's still many NPCs to talk to in this game, but there's almost no ''nameless'' NPCs.

The combats also much faster paced, being action instead of tactical turn-based.

It depends on what difficulty you play on as well. I took me 45hrs on Easy to get through the Main Story and get the True Ending + The Ex story mode afterwards And also how much grinding you do for levels and upgrades etc.
