No idea if the updates will come to the PC version or not. PC version is fine to me so idk what bugs you are talking about.
Not sure what bugs you found. I completed all the steam achievements in the game a couple weeks back and have seen no bugs.
About the graphics: To me at least, the crispier the better, it's hard to tell console users that the PC is the best way to go when the PC clearly is inferior in that regard. As a Fan of the series, I want to have it anywhere really, but right now, it makes no sense for me to wait for a PC port of Falcom games when they are poorly done.

I had this and no matter what config I use, I always have this issue.
At least there's a big fan of the game already creating a MOD with Reshader to add better textures in the entire game but I can't fathom the feeling that XSEED devs should do this, not fans.
It's the same with Cold Steel I and II. They only added Japanese voices AFTER we ran out of our way to add them AND NISA's version of Cold Steel III had the original voices too, which they knew they would HAVE to put on the PS4 re-releases of CS1-2.
The fact is: I feel that for every port of Falcom Games made by XSEED (and CS3 by Durante's team), are lacking in content if we look at the PS4 releases. Almost like: "The Pc games can mod, so we don't need to put a good effort there, now the Console people will pay more for our game, so let's make it better there".
Man I have so many issues with CS1 - 3 ports on PC, and all of those were done by Durante's team, and in CS3 especifically I have some issues with assets they preffered to just grab from CS1-2 instead of using the originals from PS4 version. In the end I'm having this lingering feeling that the PC version is not the best version to buy of those games because of things that could be avoided but aren't. And that's sad.
Where is this mod ?
I'm tired of disrespectful publishers. Xseed always release the uber duper version of their games on Sony platforms, and the poor man version on PC.
And with Ys, is not even that bad. With Legend of Heroes TitS, PC versions of their games, are quite expensive and not even on-par with the PS Vita version.
I won't buy a Sony console just for a fancy graphical overhaul.
Well Xseed couldn't port what they didn't have. The PC version released before the PS4 version.
And yes, it's painful to say that.
At least NISA doesn't just hand off the PC version to a single person. Now that's embarrassing.
Every time you ask why a feature is missing or something is wrong, everyone just shrugs and says "Hey! Give them a break, it's just one person!" Well, no. Why? That's awful. I'm more upset knowing that I paid money for a version that means so little to Xseed.
Agreed. Nisa failed with Ys 8 for example, but they fixed every single issue with it and are updating the game even today which is insane. Go see what was the last time XSEED updated a game on Steam for this series or the trails series.
Just the fact that the Demo for Ys 8 runs flawlessly and all the important information and configuration are inside the game (with multiple prompts by the way, play with any joystick you want with any buttons prompts you want) makes me like them more. Not only that, the reason we never had the Crossbell saga for Trails series is thast XSEED wanted to make Cold Steel first. Nisa got all of them anyway and are working with fans to make sure the translations are on par or even better than the geofront patch. I still remember the days XSEED got the fan translations for YS Origin, shoved into steam and said it was their translations.
Anyway, I'm quite sad that every single port XSEED does to pc seems rushed and bad and when it goes to PS4 is looks good. Really now.
But for some reason people loves to deffend XSEED, while I'm always frustrated with their PC ports a thing I'm not being with the ports for Nisa.
Unless one is REALLY adamant about having SLIGHTLY upscaled textures and water textures over everything else the PC version has (including not god awful lower model rendering resolution on the PS4), i would say its still the best version.
You can brute force you way with high resolutions on PC, same cant be said for PS4, even a PS4 Pro, since you have no such options.
And if one wants to further make the PC version better than all current ports (this texture pack goes way beyond what the devs did in their upscaling):

I'm a very technical person, I like that the PC version gives me better options for the Polygons on the 3D models.
But I hate that every single menu feels washed out in any resolution above 960 × 544 which is the Vita's main resolution.
The same issue happened on the Cold Steel 1 and 2 ported by XSEED. The 3D has lots of configurations but every single UI aspect looks washed out, blurry or worse.
I've watched this game on youtube, for god's sake, youtube compress the videos and you lose quality, still, the game is 4 times bigger on Ps4 and have bettter UI textures. I don't care if I'll have to deal with lower polygons. But if you want to call one version the 'best version to play, you HAVE to give me the full package, not wait for fans to fix your lazy port job.
What annoys me the most if that they fixed the UI for Ps4 but never brought those UI fixed elements to Pc. It's the same for the Cold Steel games too D=
