Just A Head's Up; You Need 99.5% of Chests Before The Final Battle

Just spent a few hours doing what is apparently an infamous search for all the resources and chests; Quite a few solutions online claim you need 100% before the final battle, but whilst this is true for resources (there's none in the final room) for Chests you need 99.5%... the rest are inside.

For those struggling like I was, it's very easy to miss them due to there being no individual tracking per zone (Ys 8: Lacrimosa Of Dana fixes this, thank god); use the following guide, especially the maps to locate the chests in Dungeons.

For me, the missing ones were one I ran past in the starting mine (because I was too eager to push ahead during NG+) and the room to the right of the final teleport in the Sacred Beasts dungeon... there was a chest just inside the right hand wall.

Good luck, and you have my sympathies if you're chasing these achievements!

I'm exactly at 99.5% but I think I may have missed one outside. was previously at 98.6% but managed to find one I missed at Table Mountain. I double checked Bronze, Silver and Gold and its not there so its likely somewhere in the Primeval Lands. I have checked all of the Great Forest so I'm good there so I'm going to have to get a map for the Primeval Lands location.

Save at the Iris Crossroads (after beating the 3 paths) and enter the raised platform for the last level, and collect the chest inside. If your achievement doesn't pop, you have missed one, so reload and keep exploring the map... but at 99.5% at that point for me, it was that final chest inside that was missing

I managed to find the last one but it was not at the Iris. It was at Lake Tolmes up the stairs to the right towards the screen. I had to re explore all dungeons one by one till I finally found it. All achievements get!

Thank you! I was missing the chest with Armageddon, the first platform to the left in the Gold Iris area. In my New Game+ rush I forgot to also go counter-clockwise, not just clockwise.

similar thing just happened to me, i was doing other competion and realized i had a mace missing, i was so close to starting the actual last boss without grabbing it lol, misinterpreted what this post was saying
