So is this a remake of the Wild Guns from SNES?
I am wondering if they redid it with newer graphics and such. This was originally a SNES game:

This game was developed for the same staff from the original game

It's part remake, part port, part new game. All of the original levels are in, but all of the graphics have been redone, not only to make things crisper but to take into consideration the team moved a 4:3 game to a 16:9 game. However, it still retains the original feel of the SNES game art-wise and gameplay-wise.

In addition, there's new weapons (which can be acquired as early as 1-1, with the laser gun), new levels, and two more characters in. Bullet is a dachshund with a mental bond to a hovering robot and plays very different from Clint and Annie; he can move while shooting, though his aiming area stays fixed. Doris has grenades she can lob and the longer the trigger is held, the more she tosses, but the higher risk she faces as she cannot move while charging up.

Most of these additions were actually designed for the original SNES title, but didn't make it in due to either technical restrictions or time restrictions; the original game was made in about six months, between other projects. 20 years later the original 3 guys who worked on the SNES title decided they wanted to redo the game during their evenings/weekends for PS4 and asked if we'd publish it (ABSOLUTELY!) and so Wild Guns Reloaded was born.

I wasn't aware the original developers worked on this new version.
It's great when developers revisit their own game so many years after release, while staying true to what made the original so great.

I already bought the game, and I'm hoping you may release a few more old school titles, since it's a genre still very lacking on Steam (good, old school, "arcade" titles like classic beat'em ups, ....). :)

I know you already mentioned on these forums how titles like Shatterhand and Ninja Warriors: The New Generation would be very hard to release.
Allow me to suggest another title, which I really enjoyed on the Xbox 360, and would love to have on PC (since my 360 broke down): Omega Five.
It's a Natsume developed (but not published) title. Hopefully it may be a possibility in the future to have this game on Steam :)

Oh dear, that'd probably be just as hard as getting Shatterhand out. Omega Five was originally published by Hudson Soft, who are now part of Konami, and as we all know the Konami of today ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate video games for some weird reason.

I wish they would have added a HD mode like the Mokey Island remakes... allowing both HD redone sprites and classic sprites to be changed with a press of a button.

They kept the pixel art style of the original intact, just redrew most (not all) of the sprites and backgrounds with more detail. The huge mech you fight at the end of the first level for example now has a six-barrel gatling gun, rather than the 4 barrels it had in the SNES version, and upon defeat the boss breaks into pieces in a very satisfying manner, Metal Slug style. Basically you could say that this is what an arcade version of the game would've looked like.

That is an awesome story! would love to hear more, maybe in the future they could add a deluxe edition upgrade maybe with concept art, or a video of the story of making wild guns for fans to watch since that hard work they did in such a short period of time gave so many fans years of entertainment, maybe decades?
