But I know no way not to obtain Zaar in party. If this is your 3rd playthrough I guess you should get back for a few saves back and catch a sequence of what you have done. This is all I can say for now.
Then, if you choose to betray Thole by telling him about the catacombs, it seems like he'll let you go, deeming the info fair reparations for his killed men - which means no fight & no Zaar.
Basically, however, it seems like this is a BAD idea, even if you're trying to go full-"evil"
