sorry for the inconvenience, it is true there are no dodge or run buttons implemented. However, there are still some mechanics which helps to avoid damage.
In Shadows: Awakening you have the option to change between two realms. The realm for the mortals and for the immortals. Depending on this, not all enemies can be present in both realms. This means, that for example if you are shoot by an archer, you can switch to the Devourer, the arrow and the enemy are standing still on the spot they were last because you are now on the immortal realm. You can now move around the field, dodge the arrow completely and can change to one of the puppets behind the enemy.
Furthermore, many of the puppets have skills you can learn which lets you also dodge attacks if used on the right timing.
For example Kalig can learn the jump attack to move fast to an enemy or use it to flee from a danger situation. Shadowhand has even multiple skills allowing teleporting to an enemy directly or to a certain spot. Experimenting with all the skills is key.
I hope you can still enjoy the game. Have fun playing it.
- Cheers
