The "Perfect Ending" (warning spoilers)

Hi. So I have the first two endings but am struggling with the "Perfect Ending". I gifted the Serpent Crown to Graabak, then agreed to kill Krenz. Bowed down from Krenz and went to the Serpent. Still had only fought him the one time early in the game. When I return to the Serpent per Krenz's instructions, Graabak wants to fight again THERE. I tried all dialogue options. My understanding is that I am supposed to lure him into destroying the cauldron and then I would fight him. But every which way I have tried, he wants to fight before Mara. I have gotten him to eat Mara no problem (lol), then the game ends with either the "hell" ending or the "sacrifice" ending (Devourer agreeing to give up his life or not). But I can't get Graabak to kill Mara and then fight for the perfect ending. Any ideas? I will say I did this with both black wings and angel wings. (Although the devil trophy still hasn't popped for me (+11 evil karma)). I appreciate any input here!

Tell Grabaak you need some time to prepare, then ignore him and go straight to Mara to defeat her. When she's dead Grabaak will appear and ask you what's taking you so long :)

Just in case.. I made A Step By Step Tutorial About How I Achieved It..

01. Get The Serpent Crown After The Initial Fight With Gra'baak [When You Are At The World Tree The First Time Around].
[It Must Not Be In Your Inventory Before The Fight & Before Reaching Fallen Eagle Pass.[[IMPORTANT]]

02. During Endgame [After Talking With The Krenze Initially In The Oracle Room], Go To Kyalazar To Confront Mara.

[IT IS RECOMMENDED TO HAVE A MANUAL SAVE BEFORE BEGINING THE ENDGAME RUN]

03. Confront Mara, But Take The Quest From Her To Kill Krenze.
[DO NOT FIGHT HER NOW]

04. Without Going To Krenze First, Go Meet Gra'baak At The Tree Of Worlds & Talk To Him.

05. Now Go To The Oracle Room & Confront Krenze, But Choose "I Can Not Do It"
[DO NOT FIGHT HIM].

06. New Dialogue Options Will Become Available Now & Krenze Will Suggest Asking The Serpent [Gra'baak] For Help.

07. Make Krenze Open A Portal To The Tree Of Worlds [Dialogue Option], & Go Talk To Gra'baak.

08. When It Asks To Fight You, Just Say "You Need To Prepare.." & Go back To Kyalazar Ignoring Him.
[DO NOT FIGHT HIM NOW]

09. Confront Mara & Defeat Her.

In my case I got Serpent Crown before the Initial Fight With Gra'baak, but didn't give it to him that time and I was able to get help of the Serpent in destroying the Crucible.

In My case, Whatever I did (Fight Gra'baak or Talk With It), At The End Of The Dialogues, The Serpent Crown Always Got Removed From Inventory (Had To Do A New Play Through Agin :-( ). That's Why (Just To Be On The Safe Side) I Suggested Getting It After Reaching "Fallen Eagle Pass".

Hm, interesting. Did you try to chose different dialogue options and then fight with the Gra'baak in the end? In my case some dialogue options will lead to the fight between the demon and weaked Serpent with no puppets and no Crown in inventory. Other options will keep the Crown in inventory and you will fight against Gra'baak together with puppets.

In peaceful variant the Serpent will open the portal without fight and will always take the Crown from invenyory.

Yes..I Tried Both Options (Fight It Or Not). In Both Cases The Crown Was Removed. Maybe It Was A Bug In My Case. The Safest Option I Found Was Getting It After The Initial Meeting. Gamewise...There Is Also No Downside To It.

Yeah, your advice guarantees safety of the Crown and hence you can use it at the end of the game. :)

P.S: I have a save before first fight with the Serpent - will record the dialogue options allowing me to fight with him and keep the Crwon. It is weird it does not work in your case.

The trick to keeping the crown is not to mention it at all in the conversation with Graabak.

So I defeated Gaarak and Just now entered the pass and got the shadow lady as a puppet. Is it safe to get the crown now or should I pass the Fallen Eagle Pass first? Guide says don't get the crown BEFORE you enter the pass. I've entered the pass initially, so is it safe to get the crown now?
