It's just too outdated at this point.

Character design is top notch.
Everything else is a bit dull.
Too many puzzles with obvious padding (like pulling a lever and waiting until traps disable one by one as you walk forward or backtracking from one side of the map to the other to solve puzzles/advance in the dungeon).
Combat is boring. Since you can swap between 4 characters you can min/max them without punishment. You pump up damage in 3 characters (burst, ideally, much better than dps in this game) and you keep one as tank. That way you keep the distance and cast a full rotation of spells of your 3 damage heroes and swap to the tank to wait for cooldowns. Enemy mobs are usually 3-5 enemies that die with one or two spells. The rest of the game is just walking.
Story and music are a bit insipid as well.

It makes me a bit conflicted because you can clearly see all the hard work behind the game, specially in the art department, but it's all buried beneath decissions that seem questionable and, in my opinion, make the game unfun.
If you want a fast pace ARPG or a tactical RPG with a lot of depth this game is neither. If you prefer easier and more laid back RPGs with simple character developement, but with a wide variety of options, and you enjoy taking your time with puzzles and collect tidbits of lore to read then maybe you'll like this one.
