Map Features Slowly Disappearing?

Hi there!

So the game started off really great. As I uncovered different parts of the map, I could see an icon for each salvage part, as well as the name of the actual part.

However, as my playtime went on, features started disappearing from the map. First, I could still see the salvage parts, but then I could no longer see which parts they were. This led to me being unable to strategize about which parts to go for, and it led to the creation of some vehicles that were terribly suited for the environments I was trying to extract salvage from--because I had no idea which salvage was the one I needed to progress. So I went looking everywhere. But at least I could see which ones I hadn't collected yet.

But then it got worse. I logged in today and there were no icons for salvage anymore, at all. In addition, getting near a piece of salvage no longer displayed which part it was. What was previously only annoying became impossible. I tried restarting the game, restarting my computer, verifying the game files, and uninstalling and reinstalling the game. No change.

I've completely stopped playing the game. It's such a pain looking for and collecting salvage now that I gave up playing, and I don't have plans to pick the game back up. I can't create the proper vehicles to go looking more efficiently, and I can't find the needed parts despite spending hours traveling around the map--no progression for hours.

Any help, or anyone else experiencing this issue?

I no longer have names for my salvage, but luckily they have not disappeared entirely. However, when I get close to salvage, the name will appear on the map. Likely some issue with how the save file determines what salvage you've discovered.

Interesting. I may tinker with that in mind and see if I can find any more out. Thanks!

Hi, @TheKLARKEN i have the same problem.. i don't now why. i can t see any each salvage part on the map and now, when i go close to it i can t see the name.. So it s very hard to keep playing
GL and hope they fix it into another Update <3 Nice game

Yeah, it's such a fun game that I think handles the physics of vehicle creation surprisingly well. :] The campaign just seems to have some bugs that are currently holding it back.

So, I started a new campaign, and the salvage icons now show up. I'm not really willing to play through again to try to reproduce the bug, but starting over seemed to fix it. I suppose I could make a rudimentary boat and uncover the map again, but I don't think it's worth it for me.

I also scanned through the error logs, and I didn't find anything of interest.

The Salvage disappeared for me even tho there is like 60 left for me collect

Okay, so I hopped on today, and my disappearing salvage has officially fully 'disappeared' off the map. ALSO - When I get physically close to one, it no longer bring up the name of whatever it is like it normally would. Does this happen for you guys as well?

I also do not have any salvage listed on the map, and when I get close to salvage I don't get anything telling me what it is.

Everything worked at first, but as of this morning it is all gone and this persists through restarts.

I also have this issue I wonder if maybe the game is going off its alocated memory and causing problems. I'm going to try and give the game more RAM to work on and see if this fixes it.

How can i restart only my "Stranded Campaign" ?

I am having the same issue. Was having a lot of fun with it but now the map is basically blank with 50 salvage parts still to find I am playing blind. Also salvage pop up when you get near has gone so until you recover the part I have no idea what it is. Ive waited for the game to leave EA before playing but it seems its still got a few bugs and I dont want to to start again for it happen on that playthrough in a few days.

I am having similar issues, im on my second day of playing, and the scrap icons have entirely disappeared. Im playing with a friend, and we physically cant play the game because we cant find any salvage to collect/turn in. In essence, we cant play the game.

Having the same issues, day 2 of playing L.I.S., and all map icons for salvage are gone, and their identification doesnt pop up when I am near them, and I cant be sure because I could be misremembering, but upon collecting some of the ones I could see from where I spawned in, its almost as if ones I have already collected respawned, not sure as the collected amount doesnt change, even when I grabbed one I knew I hadnt collected yet. (By luck, as I cant tell what a salvage piece is until its collected)

Yep its still at it. You will never be able to play the game thru with the map. It is a very good game made very poorly. The issue is in the save file not the game files at all so that means no matter what you do this will happen. I love this game but after a few times or restarting the save to fix the issue and it gong back to how it was "completely jacked". Hopefully this will be fixed soon but to the people that have given up like myself I doubt it will be played again. For the makes of the game, don't release garbage. And on top of it all there is no way to refund a broken game that has been played.

I wouldnt call it garbage I have had a lot of fun until this bug and I will play it again if and when it gets fixed. Just a shame it wasnt spotted in EA before release.
