rain world has one dlc and it is better then all of this games dlcs combined X 1000
Exactly it's becoming The Sims 4
But some parts in the DLCS are straight up needed if you want to make certain things
Such as the 1x1 thruster or the large prop for realistic planes
Seriously the vanilla prop is a joke for planes
I don't like the expansion dlcs or dlcs with parts, I would much prefer those to be free updates.
If it were only cosmetic dlcs I'd probably buy all of them, like I have for DRG. However because it's a mix, I just get the dlcs with the functional parts in them.
It's also an additional barrier to entry for new people, if I'm trying to get a friend into the game I have to inform them of what is in each dlc so they can figure out which ones to get, and the longer the list gets the less inclined they are to purchase.
My personal preference would be to only make cosmetic dlc going forward.
If not that, then split the functional parts and cosmetics into two different dlcs for reduced prices.
Not like any dev I've expressed this to has ever listened but that's just how it goes. I'm just some nobody with an opinion, either they'll listen or they won't. As long as the game continues to be good I'll be happy, but if the dlc pattern continues I doubt I'm ever going to get any of my friends interested.
Oh. More people saying the same things I have. I decided to glance back after seeing the skin pack.
I'll re-iterate. People -will- buy cosmetics. There's a lot of room for cosmetics.
To repeat a post a year or more ago; besides block skins, there's clothing and alternate models, hats. I'd even take novelty blocks like the sirens, flags, ETC. As they are actually -cosmetic-, or things like re-skinned existing parts.
