Foreword
I like this genre of games, I played a lot in space engineers, Planet Explorer, Besiege, Cargo! The Quest for Gravity, Kerbal Space Program, TerraTech, Scrap Mechanic, Robocraft. And now I have your excellent game! But before she got to me, I watched a lot of videos with your game, and now that I have it on my account, I would like to share my thoughts, suggestions and ideas. Since I have not personally played the game yet, I can be mistaken in something, and I can also offer ideas that were voiced earlier by developers or players. Based on the experience of such games, I will write my thoughts on what I think is missing and what I would like to see in the game.

The game was great! But after you quickly find all the details, it becomes empty in it, you don’t know how to apply everything that you collected and have fun. It would be great to diversify the game and add new features!
So :
- Based on the wonderful gameplay like metro-diving, it would be difficult to get blocks. It is already available in the game at a basic level, but I suggest more work. For example: there is a block on the mountain, we cannot climb the mountain if we don’t have the right wheels and motor, and until we find them, we can only ride on a flat surface. Or, for example, a block blocks the passage, which can be hooked only with a hook or claw and we will not go further until we find this part.
- Limit at the beginning of the player on the number of blocks, increase their number by collecting power units.
- It is possible to add leveling with abilities, or buying abilities, for example, as detecting blocks (so that the player does not know where the blocks are from the very beginning), increasing the energy capacity
- Reduce the number of scrap receiving stations, ideally leave one central.
- A variety of moving mechanisms. For example, the basis for the claw, or the mechanism of the "elevator" that will move from point 1 to point 2. Предисловие
Мне нравится данный жанр игр, я много играл в космических инженеров, Planet Explorer, Besiege, Cargo! The Quest for Gravity, Kerbal Space Program, TerraTech, Scrap Mechanic, Robocraft. И вот теперь у меня есть и ваша превосходная игра! Но до того как она ко мне попала я просмотрел много видео с вашей игрой, и теперь когда она у меня есть на аккаунте, я бы хотел поделится своими мыслями, предложениями и идеями. Так как я еще лично не играл в игру, я могу в чем то ошибаться, а также я могу предлагать идеи которые озвучивались ранее разработчиками или игроками. Основываясь на опыте подобных игр я напишу свои мысли того чего на мой взгляд не хватает и что хотелось бы увидеть в игре.

Игра получилась замечательная! Но после того как довольно быстро находишь все детали, в ней становится пусто, не знаешь как применить все что собрал и развлечься. Было бы отлично разнообразить игру и добавить новых возможностей!
И так :
- Основываясь на замечательном игровом процессе как метроидвания можно было бы усложнить получение блоков. Он уже имеется в игре на базовом уровне, но я предлагаю больше проработать. К примеру : на горе стоит блок, на гору мы не можем подняться если у нас нету нужных колес и мотора, и до тех пор пока мы их не найдем, мы можем ездить только по ровной поверхности. Или, к примеру проход загораживает блок, который можно зацепить только крюком или клешней и мы не пройдем дальше до тех пор пока не найдем эту деталь.
- Ограничить в начале игрока на количество блоков, увеличение их количество собирая энергоблоки.
- Возможно добавить прокачку уровня со способностями, или покупка способностей, к примеру как обнаружение блоков ( что бы игрок не знал с самого начала где блоки ), увеличение вместительности энергии
- Уменьшить количество станций приема металлолома, в идеале оставить одну центральную.
- Разнообразие движущихся механизмов. К примеру основа для клешни, или механизм "лифт" который будет передвигаться из точки 1 в точку 2. Гравитационная платформа которая будет передвигаться между двух частей на разной длине устройства. Лебёдка с канатом или тросом, что бы не прорисовывать цепь или трос можно провести энергетический луч от основы лебёдки до места зацепления, на место зацепления можно крепить разные блоки , к примеру шар для разрушения.
- Больше разных инструментов, к примеру строитель\ разрушитель. Ковши как у трактора, буры, отбойные молодки, сверла, шары для разрушения, катушку с цепью с регулятором длинны, бензопила, циркулярная пила,отбойный молоток, крюки, клешни. Гусеницы, которые можно использовать так же на танках.
Добавить бензобак или шкалу траты энергии, которая восстанавливается сама через время.
- Блоки воздушный шар, дирижабль, блоки с гелием.
- Блок с радио и проигрыванием музыки ( можно разместить по миру диски или кристаллы с песнями, игрок будет собирать песни и сможет их воспроизводить пока едет). Блоки дистанционного управления ( кресло с монитором для управления и блок с камерой как центральный процессор).
- Больше взаимодействия с физикой. Препятствия и заграждения из металла, камня, земли, дерева. Постройки.
Для каждого препятствия свои инструменты. Кусок мусора упал закопавшись в землю, сверху куча земли и дым, его надо откопать ковшом.
Нам надо попасть в пещеру но проход завален землей, надо разрушить препятствие ковшом.
В скале трещины, буром мы можем разрушить стену и пройти.
Проход забит досками или завален бревнами, мы можем использовать пилу.
Надо перенести валуны, землю, бревна, мы используем клешни.
Разрушаемые стены дома собранные из блоков, использовав шар разрушения можно разбить дом или стену, и строение красиво развалится.
- Разнообразить мир добавив местных жителей. Это могут быть роботы из нашего корабля, которые упали с мусором и начали колонизацию планеты, и строят дома из обломков нашего корабля. Или гуманоид, может милая ( такая что бы на них фанаты рисунки рисовали) форма жизни, уровень развития которых как человечества 2000 лет назад, глиняные и каменные дома.
- Добавить монстров и врагов. В игре есть оружие, но в компании на данный момент оно не используется. Можно добавить монстров. Маленьких которые будут встречаться на карте, они будут разумные, будут строить свои поселения. В поселения врагов мы будем прорываться с боем, ломая барьеры, пытаясь добраться до нашей новое детали. Злые будут нападать на мирные поселения, мы будем защищать мирные поселения за что нам будут давать валюту.
Большие монстры боссы, которые будут охранять свою локацию, и нам надо достать сильное оружие, защиту, что бы их победить. Вулкан - дракон, болото-крокодил ( но монстры только отдаленно похожи на земных ). Море Кракен и пираты. Пустыня рейдеры из безумного Макса.
- Новые территории и биомы.
Зимний биом со снежной горой. Внутри биома огромная пещера со светящимися кристаллами, кристаллы взрываются при контакте. Большие пространства с узкими проходами.
Заброшенный город, древние руины. Много ловушек, физика разрушения построек и стен.
- Миссии от местных жителей. Награда будет особая валюта и особые декорации и цвет который можно купить у местных жителей.
Миссия транспортировки. Добавив в игру пассажирские сиденья, можно сделать миссию где нужно перевезти местных жителей из одной точки в другую.
Миссия по разрушению зданий. Миссия по аккуратному извлечению блока мусора который упал на дом, так что бы не задеть соседние дома.
К примеру есть пушка пляжных мячей и снежных шаров, найдя на пляже группу туземцев, им можно дать мяч и мы получим награду.
Миссия по обороне поселения.
- Постройка механизмов и построек игроком. Добавить рычаги и кнопки.
Возможность построить дом или гараж, который будет находится на карте и не исчезнет. Мы будем использовать постройки как дом или как объекты для эксперимента с физикой и механизмами.
Так же по заданиям или для прохождения мы сможем строить мосты и приспособления для преодоления расстояния и препятствий.
Так же будут головоломки и механизмы на карте. К примеру что бы активировать механизм двери, нам надо будет построить механизм активации. Есть ниша и в ней шестеренка или колесо, мы строим мотор и колесо и вставляем туда, колесо крутится и колесо двери тоже, дверь открыта.
- Два режима постройки, большой и маленький. В большом режиме блоки во много раз больше.
Так можно буде строить дома и материнские корабли
Представьте, можно будет построить огромный грузовик, в который мы маленьким будем складывать блоки и перевозить их. Уменьшить количество приемников металлолома на карте, тем самым вынудив игрока строить огромные станции на колесах.
Или огромный корабль, летающую станцию мстителей или огромный космический корабль. Тут как раз бы пригодились окна и иллюминаторы.
Строить замки и базы.
- Разнообразить подводный мир и водный мир, сделать больше интересных локаций и механик взаимодействия. К примеру объекты могу быть погружены и дно, и достать их можно только с помощью клешней. Сделать шкалу воздуха, добавить блоки воздушные баллоны.
Добавить босса Кракена .
Блоки мусора которые плавают на поверхности воды, на спасательном плоте.
- Больше блоков для транспорта на воде. Паруса, элементы управления , пушки, водные крылья ( при быстром движении подымает корабль над водой .
- Разные блоки мусора из разных материалов, что бы игрок не пользовался только магнитом.
- Летающие острова. Сделать их с сильным ветром, что бы было тяжело сопротивляться ветру. Возможно сделать со снегом, как вариант сделать зимний биом летающим, целую гору. У основания островов сделать кристаллы, что бы было ощущение что острова летают из-за кристаллов.
- Локация с туманом в котором нужны специальные фары.
- Кристаллические кубы. В миоме пещеры с кристаллами будут блоки с использованием кристаллов, на грани с магией. Левитация, энергетические щиты, удары молнией, декорации с молниями, катушки тесла.
- Локация космос. Продолжение игры после взлета в космос.
У нас есть разъединяющий блок. Сделать так что бы игрок сам пытался улететь в космос, отсоединяя ступени ракеты как у настоящей.
Попав в космос мы узнаем что за это время вокруг планеты скопилось очень много метеоритов, а наш корабль не способен маневрировать между ними и разбивается. Мы оказываемся в космосе. Спасательный корабль не может нас ждать и улетает.
Мы остаемся одни, ещё и воздух теперь заканчивается. Наша корпорация на окраине астероидного поля оставляет контейнер с ресурсами.
Нам теперь надо выжить и построить укрытие. Среди обломков нашего корабля мы находим детали. Нам теперь надо самим построить межзвездный корабль, детали которого разбросаны по метеоритному полю. Строить мы будем очень большой корабль по чертежу. Детали в разных местах. Есть метеориты лавовые, ледяные, электрические, с острыми шипами, с монстрами, с кислотными облаками, с электрическими бурями. Осколки кораблей с безумными роботами. Так же в метеоритах плавают большие корабли, которые нам надо исследовать. Мы можем возвращаться на планету и обратно на орбиту.
- Карта сокровищ
- События в честь праздников что бы получить особые декорации и цвета красок
- Разные режимы и миссии
Миссии с местными жителями по транспортировке, защите, атаке, разрушению, по перевозке людей и вещей ( вещи надо загрузить самому, к примеру ящики)
Режим разрушитель: Игрокам дается ограниченный набор блоков из которых надо создать машину и ей разрушить строение.
Арена гладиаторов: игроки из предложенных блоков делают механизм, и компьютер сталкивает эти машины друг с другом, побеждает самая эффективная машина смерти.
Каждый месяц набор блоков меняется.
- Вкладка испытаний и трюков. Игрокам будет доступен редактор "виртуальной комнаты". Там все будет как в симуляции, белый пол в клеточку, неоновое небо.
Там можно будет строить испытания, разные препятствия и механизмы. Что бы карта была принята, хозяин карты должен её пройти. Награда за прохождение ловушек и препятствий может быть особый ресурс или валюта. Хозяин карты получает ресурс или валюту если игрок не проходит его испытание.
Сделать так что бы игроку выпадали испытания случайно.
- Битва на материнских кораблях, на гигантах.
- Оружие, огнеметы, автоматы, лазерные пушки, метатели дисковых пил, пушка ударной волны, пушка с жидким азотом, кислотная пушка, водяная пушка, шипы, лезвия, ножи, миномет и установщик мин, черная дыра, гравитационная пушка, пушка портал.
- Блоки передвижения : Насекомого ( возможность взбираться на вертикальные поверхности) , шагающие блоки, робота ( возможность прыгать)
- Руки робота разных видов, работает как массивное оружие при нажатии кнопки производящее удар ( анимация человеческой руки при ударе), кисти рук можно снабдить лезвиями для увеличения урона.
- Гарпун с лебёдкой. Выстрелив в поверхность можно подняться на склон или подтянуть к себе объект.
- Больше взаимодействия оружия и окружения, зависимость прохождения от оружия.
К примеру огнестрельное оружие не работает под водой и в космосе, под водой мы используем гарпуны, метатель гвоздей, пилы и лезвия.
На летательный аппарат не поставить тяжелое оружие, только пулемет или несколько мин на отсоединяющихся блоках.
В космосе работает только энергетическое оружие, оружие плазмы, лазеры.
Что бы разрушить лед или освободить из льда блок надо применить огнемет.
Что бы разрушить кристалл который создает вокруг себя энергетическое защитное поле, надо переменить энергетическое оружие.
Что бы убрать лозу с шипами или освободить от объятий лозы блок, надо применить кислотную пушку ( лианы очень жилистые и плотные, огнемет и пила против их не сработают)
Водяной пушкой мы тушим огонь и смываем грязь.
Огнем и пилой разрушаем паутину
Пилой разрушаем лед на озере.
- Добавить радиацию. Топливный бак из корабля упал и загрязнил участок радиоактивными отходами
- Добавить остров в виде разбившегося корабля.
- Блоки телепорты
- Блоки рельсы и блок который двигается по ним. На рисунке. Рельсы хорошо ложатся на поверхность и их можно использовать для перемещения по технике чего либо. Внутренний угол не предусмотрен,только наружный. Хороший инструмент как блок передвижения с разными вариантами. Выкладываем рельсы и ставим блок который при нажатии вперед или назад будет производить движение по рельсам.
- Блоки переходники, с 2 креплений на одно и с 4 креплений на 1.
- Блоки в индустриальном стиле, похожие на металлические, пустые внутри. легкие и прочные.
- Открытие деталей за выполнение заданий
- Костюмы для пилота которые нужны для прохождения. Водолазный для воды, гонщика для быстрой езды, скафандр для космоса. Костюмы надо найти или сделать.
- Уровень и прокачка персонажа, блоков. За выполнение заданий, найденные блоки, трюки нам будет даваться опыт, опыт мы будет тратить на прокачку персонажа или блоков, блоки будут становится прочнее, сильнее , красивее.
- Возможность выходить из транспорта со стороны двери, так что бы к примеру в подводной лодке мы вышли во внутрь транспорта.
- Блоки с осью. Блоки которые свободно проворачиваются, без мотора. Нужны для соединения с деталями как поддержка. Свободно крутятся по оси.
- Блоки деталей в разных препятствиях . Вморожен в лед, запутан лианами или паутиной, окружен огнем или кислотой, находится в радиоактивной зоне или под землей, лежит под энергетической защитой кристалла или висит на лианах под потолком.

-Tracks, tank tracks, tractors. With special 4-button mechanics. The tank has no turning, the tank turns using either the right or left side. 2 buttons are responsible for moving forward and backward of the right side, 2 others for moving forward and backward of the left side.

A parachute block that launches three parachutes and lowers the structure to the ground. When you press activation again, the parachute will disconnect from the unit.

First and foremost, the devs use a website called trello to organize comunity suggestions, it's public and can be found here (https://trello.com/b/aSShFsXY/trailmakers-suggestion-list), you can make an account an upvote the things you would like to see in the game, the more upvotes something has the higher the chance of it coming to the game, but remember it's a suggestions list, not a to do list, not everything there will end up coming to the game

Now onto some things about your suggestions:
-A limited amount of blocks was in the game in the pre alpha version, but it was replaced with the power core system which only limits the engines you can use, if they did so it's because they had a reason to do so, so i don't expect it to come back

-Stranded in space was released a while ago and the game is already out of early access, i don't expect many changes to it like adding leveling (how would it even work? there is no enemies which you can kill to get xp), big changes to the map, missions, biomes (although this can come on new sandbox maps)

-With the mechanical blocks there are already in the game you can already make claws (using hinges/servos) and elevators (literally just a single piston) (what did you meant with a gravity platform though? it seems like it's the same thing as the elevator you described to me). Rope/chains are unlikely to come, their physics are extremly expensive computationally, you can imitate them by using various trailer hinges in a row but you will see that after a couple of them the game stops liking it, and their physics are still a bit simpler than rope physics

-More weapons is on trello

-Fuel is not going to be added, the devs simply don't like the idea, they tested it early in the development of the game but it wasn't fun

-Hot air ballon/blimp parts are also on trello (although you can use gimbals to emulate them)

-There are already 2 radios with different music in the game

-Remote control blocks are also on trello, but there is a glitch that allows you to make rc vehicles if you want to make them now

-Destructible enviroment is not going to come, the devs like the idea but it's not something that can realisticaly be put into the game now, it'd need to be a core feature from day one

-Enemies/bosses are unlikely to come, the focus of the game is building vehicles and exploring, the weapons are a secondary thing for multiplayer

-Levers and buttons are already in the game in the form of logic gates and distance sensors (logic gates can have keybinds to activate things, distance sensors can be triggered by the player while outside the vehicle or by other vehicles), using anchor pins you can make static buildings, so you can make a houses/garages if you want already, same thing for building bridges to overcome distances

-I don't see a reason to make 2 separate modes of construction for large and small things, the big blocks could be simply added to the normal mode and it would allow to build the same things the large mode would allow while still allowing to add the detail of the small mode

-Sails are on trello, water wings (also called hydrofoils) can be made by angling tailfins, there is nothing substantially different between water and air (apart of density), they are both fluids and as such if something works on the air with a bit of tweaking it will also work on the water

-Stranded in space already has flying islands, as for the wind it's on trello

-Hoverpads already give you levitation, lightning strikes is on trello

-Space is also on trello, but on space lava would solidify and asteroids don't have enough gravity to create an atmosfere, so acid clouds/electric storms wouldn't make too much sense

-If i understood your suggestion of the tests and tricks tab you basically want a level editor, if this is correct then it's unlikely to come, the process through which the devs create the maps is not simple enough for them to be able to make it open source and then make usable enough for the average user

-The blocks of movement you mentioned can be made already (climbing vertical surfaces can be achieved with a lot of downforce from spoilers/downward facing thrusters, walking blocks can be made with servos/hinges (people have already made walkers), the ability to jump can be achieved by using fast pistons)

-Robot hands can be made with servos/hinges

-Harpoon and winch has the same problem of rope/chains, they would be joint by a rope so in order to add it rope physics must be used

-Rails are on trello, although you can make them using blocks/concrete wall dispensers

-With adapter blocks you mean blocks that allow you to place a blocks between 2 blocks? if so it's unlikely to happen due to it requiring a complete rework of build mode

-Blocks that rotate freely on 1 axis can already be made by removing the keybinds from a spinning servo/heli servo (the heli servo it's currently bugged though, if you can use the spinning servo)

-What would be the use of generators (solar panels/nuclear reactors/wind generators/solar sails)?

-You can use gimbals for antigravity (they always push you up, no matter the rotation of your vehicle)

-Weather is on trello

-Tank tracks are also on trello, the 4 button mechanic is not necesary, if you can make each of them have 2 keybinds for forwards/backwards then adding another with different controls on the other side will give you the 4 button mechanic you described

Finally you might want to join the official discord server (discord.gg/trailmakers), the devs are more active there and we are currently improving the suggestions system and the discord might become the main place where you go to suggest things and vote what you would like to see in the game

Yes! I agree. Especially on ball bearing parts.
We should suggest a 1x1x1 rotating servo too. I think that would open up SO much more in the game too.

An uncontrollable ball bearing is already a thing (trailer hinge). A controllable one can be made with 2 hinges, and it wouldn't work as a single block as blocks can only have a maximum of 2 keybinds (which only works for a single axis). As for 1x1x1 servos, they are unlikely to happen due to various reasons

However, I do not think the 1x1x1 rotating servo is impossible if we already have 2x2x1 (W, L, H) rotating servos and 1x1x1 hinges. If anything, the developers could base a 1x1x1 servo off of the look and function of the 1x1x1 hinges we already have.

The problem with 1x1x1 is not a technical problem of it being hard to do. The main problems are the fact that hinges already exist and achieve an extremely similar function and it potentially confusing new players, since on other games you need to use servos to spin wheels and it could make those players think the same is true in this case
