Underwater salvage is completely messed.
The underwater portion is nearly completely non functional, salvage resets itself constantly before you even touch it, if you do get it and you ever let it off your magnet it will reset. which means you need special submarine/land designs as you cant reconfigure without a reset. It makes many of the underwater salvage nearly unrecoverable.

And that is why Im stuck and cant proceed, propeller which gives you access to high ground and eventually helicopter is trapped in the bugged underwater section... Great......

There is usually an easier piece of salvage to collect, the underwater ones were some of the last ones I touched.
Make sure to find the inflatable pontoon, these allow you to control your buoyancy without transforming, though you could probably build a heavy vehicle to drive along the sea floor with just the underwater propeller.

Yeah Im pretty sure the salvage shouldn't be constantly resetting itself...

Also I cant find the mini thruster, 70% done with rocket, 80 or so pieces of salvage and no mini thrusters... so I cant reach any of the high or out of way pieces, I have hover and gimble, but all you can do with those is just sort of hop jump.

i didnt have any problems with it. i just drove the prebuilt sub as high up on land as i could get. then i simply smawned another vehicle to come grab it. and then entered the sub and released it

Yeah but if you dont have the power cores to display 2 vehicles it might despawn before you can reset the link.

We need a way to disable salvage auto resetting.

I havn't had any problems with underwater salvage either. I didn't even spawn two vehicles at the same time; just push the salvage onto the beach, make sure it's not rolling or anything, reverse, spawn a car, and deliver that badboy. I really have a hard time understanding how you can call it "nearly unrecoverable".

For some reasons, I keep getting resets. Its very strange..

Ok, I hear ya, I havn't had problems with cores auto resetting themselves. Maybe try giving the game the old "verify cache integrity", and see if maybe one of your files havn't been updated.

i didnt have issue/troubles with it but i can understand that some other players could trying to solve it differently and this agressive underwater reset mechanism constrains ability solve it more freely.

there was some heavy item underwater, i have solve it by sailing sub backwards (forward it sunk). another heavier item was in some deep pond i have used crane-like structure on 4 large wheels, magnet on bottom and submersible cabin to transport it out.

for me biggest issue was to understand that draging items on ground by vehicles was no-go, i knew nothing about magnet. :D

The cores start resetting themselve before you even touch them, just being near them makes them start resetting..

Its bogus banthaa poodoo.

Is it happening with all underwater salvage for you, or just specific ones? Like the Propeller and Heli Engine you mentioned.

Well, maybe this will help. I have already gathered all the salvage, and can't provide a step by step, but I did manage to get the pesky HEAVY under water salvage using a combination of vehicles I modified from the stock ones.

You'll need to have unlocked the monster truck and the submarine.

I uploaded them both to the workshop.

This one is called "Sub-Truck"

And this one is called "Heavy Monster"

I think I used the sub to get them all the way out, or maybe the sub to drag it to the shore then switched to the truck (using the quick transition)

Maybe that will help :)

I had no problem getting underwater salvage with just a car with a diving bell. All you need is an armature with a magnet on the end. I'm not even using the adjustable pontoons.

The magnet is basically essential though, yes.

All underwater salvage, as soon as I get close to it, and the craft flips, tips, or otherwise does something janky, even if I havent touched the salvage it starts resetting. I basically have to do a completely proper approach and grab to avoid a reset. Then if I ever let go of it for any reason it resets.

So all pushing or carrying in a cargo well is out, it has to be fully grabbed with the electro magnet and pulled up onto land in one go.

Right now Im thinking the only option is a option to turn off auto resets and let players reset manually if it get unaproachable.

I got the propeller out really really late by just adding a lot of cores and slow driving it back to land and then hitting all the minithrusters at once to launch myself onto land..

it was really really a stupid way to have to do it, but its the only thing that worked with all the resetting.

There almost isnt a point of submarines as it just becomes underwater truckland.

Also another problem Im seeing is the pipe lifter prebuilt the front propeller blades before you even take off, start wobbling back and forth like crazy and then break off, without the player even touching any control other than starting the blades.
