Please remove the block limit
Can you please remove the block limit? I was building a tank, but I couldn't finish it. Basically 50 minutes wasted, 'cause I can't put the armor on it. Please remove it or make it bigger!

We don't have plans to officially increase this limit further, though we expect once we launch mod support, people will make mods that allow people to build beyond the current limits. :)

The block limit (or CPU Complexity Limit as we call it) is something that isn't set in stone, as we further optimize the game, and if we get enough feedback that people want the limit increased or removed entirely, we can look at doing it.

It isn't a block limit per se, as each block has a hidden CPU Complexity cost, for example if you use a lot of tires you will reach the limit easily, where as standard 2x4 blocks you'll be able to use a lot of. A general rule of thumb is that the more a part does, in terms of movement and physics calculations, the higher CPU Complexity cost it has.

I'll add the suggestion to remove/increase the limit to our public Trello[trello.com] where people can vote on things they want to see in the game!

Ok, thank you for doing that

Yeah please do remove it. I want to build loads of massive vehicles from movies but I just can't.

definitely needs to go. just give us an option to remove it in settings. :cozybethesda:

This, host's server should have setting to remove block limit or add block limit (and if there's, then let user decide, default at 700)
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

But aren't letting ppl decide if we may remove the limit ourself, at the warning that we must know that the program arent designed this way and we may get crashes or bugs or something is better? Like giving us the option, where it's not your team responsibility for the crash or anything happens after that?

That's exactly why we're opening it up via mods. :)

but afaik mods are need to be developed manually and most unity games both player has to install same mods, where for limit u can just add a option where disclaimer it may breaks the game... applies to the server which host

Yeah, we're giving the players themselves the options to increase the limit if they want to via player made mods. If you're hosting, it's enough for the host themselves to have the mod running and applied, then anyone joining will be using the same Complexity limit.

We don't feel our time is well spent implementing this as an official feature, since we know the outcome when you start going above the limit we've already set, and we don't feel having a big disclaimer in a brand new game you've just bought saying "THE GAME IS UNSTABLE BEYOND THIS POINT" is something appealing. Whereas unexpected behaviour when using mods, is a little more expected from a user viewpoint, we feel. :)

Fair enough, so any ETA on the mods support? In approximate?

Is there a way to manually increase the PCU limit by editing the game files for yourself.

via editing game files no unless you know how to read and write code and want to spend a lot of time finding how to modify the complexity limit value at runtime, but with mods it becomes much easier, you can just create a mod which executes the function "tm.os.physics.SetBuildComplexity(x)" where x is any integer as soon as it loads (simply add that function alone to the main.lua file of a mod, you can also make it more complex to allow you to change the value in game if you want to spend a bit more time on it), but as bojangle said expect the game to become unstable if you do increase it
Hi deat Developers! Literally guys, when you developed this game everyone just got some 4-6 core cpus...yeah those are weak even to run windows 11 nowaday, BUT could just add a limit OR a slide and when i try to increase it a little windows pop out in-game to warn me for idk like: "Caution!!! If you try to increase this limit that'll result in crashes or your processing unit'll go bad!!!" and we have a option to "okay, i understood everything,, and "close windows, change back everything". I know programming is hard and you learning for ages till you can make a program

you can already modify the limit through mods
